I will take all my barbells and dumbbells when I move, but have no desire to take my Rep Rack and Ares as taking it apart, moving it and assembling it again would be a pain. With a bigger home gym, I would not have Ares anyway as I would have a different layout.

Something I’ve always wondered.. 🤔 if one of the requirements to own and use a cold plunge/ice water bath type product was that you could never post photos or videos on social media of you using them and you also couldn’t tell others that you use them, how many people would still utilize them? Speaking of expensive items that may/may not fit your needs, ever review a bench bar? IMO the 30mm texas one solves all the problems ive had with the 28.5 and 29 (to a lesser extent). Also the sportkraft F8 30 and 32mm bench bars are a work of art

This is a great example of a product jumping on a trend and charging top dollar for it. Aside: I also get a little annoyed when people blame Rogue for the prices of third-party products they carry. Maybe they don’t do a good enough job of distinguishing which products they fulfill but don’t make.

I want to get the BoS manticore rack but it's 49" in width. Do you think it's too wide? My squat walkouts and bench re-racks are sloppy. I'm also using a thin collar powerlifting bar. Would 47" work better? I'm from Canada and BoS is my best option as REP's shipping is costly.

I think it's annoying personally. Thin collars and 49" is tough. If you wanted you could always add a 5lbs plate or whatever on first to add to the spacing some.

The price for these things are not justifiable for me. Never really understood why people dont just use their bathtub and add ice if they want to do this. I guess if you really love it and have a circulation system and chiller. The choice I use is do contrast in the shower between cold and hot. Not quite the same but as a Western Canadian that lives in south Florida now i would not subject myself to the cold by choice. Haha😂….

Funny you mentioned the cold shower.. because that was the original "alpha male" thing. But we always gotta one up the other Alpha Males, so we jumped on this Ice bath trend. Which worked out great because unlike the shower, we can record this and virtue signal online about how we carry the boats. Which is the whole point of doing something that has inconclusive evidence at best that it does anything at all.

I did a video on the original MG4C from Rogue. I also did a video on how they did us dirty by not announcing the MG4CN which was a better version IMO. Long story short I ended up having a meeting with their team about how to resolve the problem for everyone (which ended up in their trade in program) and they sent me a custom white one was a thank you.

I think I would cold plunge to possibly reduce all cause mortality, and I found when I was a collegiate athlete icing always made me feel like I was less sore to play the next day. But from what I've seen, it may reduce muscle hypertrophy/ strength gains.

Yes I think from an athletic standpoint it may have more benefits, but the majority of us are not playing high level collegiate or professional sports.

The TL;DR of it is, I think it's overpriced for what I want in a treadmill. It's kind of cool how it goes as fast as you do as you do and makes you learn to run the right way since you have to pull the tread, BUT I would rather an electronic treadmill that I just set at a certain pace and it maintains without me having to do much else.

Just know the pioneer sleeves are a stiff sleeve akin to the Inzer Ergo Pros. Meaning that they're super unforgiving. They will likely give you more out of your squat but they can be painful and are hard to size.

Are you still using the Rep Adjustable DBs or the Pepin Fast Series? I am still using Iron Masters, which seem to work for me, but I don't use them too often as it is just quicker to put microgainz on my fixed DBs for in between weights.

I think half the reason I don’t want to try them is because of the people who carry on about them like they’re a SEAL because they get in the cold. I’ve always enjoyed saunas better. If you were going to do it though, the one like Matt Vincent has looks like the way to do it - more expensive but at least it’s not, like you said… a $1200 bucket 😂
