Same here! Seeing him in that warm shanty house with it so cold outside makes it seem like a perfect house in the middle of nowhere. His little protection from the elements. I think I culd live like that as long as I had the propane! Lol def looks cozy in that tent

Pro tip, to start those buddy heaters dont just keep flipping it over to start it. Turn the knob once and then hold it down in the pilot position for 5 or so seconds to get the propane flowing then quickly turn it back to off and back again to pilot and it will start first try 99% of the time.

You guys go through a lot of effort to protect the lake trout and I respect that. I dont know how good it is when you take the fish out of the water then carry it to the live well. It takes only seconds for the eyes and fins to freeze I pull them out take the hook out take a photo and back it goes. I don't lay them on the ice and don't measure. Just my thought.
@johnkaper11293 жыл бұрын
Great video, I wouldn't brave that cold like you do being from California. I admire your heartiness dealing with freezing cold and your sense of honor releasing the large trout. Good job!

I love your content, esp the fishing...and that is a great fish, and I respect you guys for respecting the ecology...that fish is not 50 years old tho, 30 inch lake trout estimates at about 7-10 years to get to 16 inches long and then a general rule of thumb is 3 inch per year after that. Just a general heads up bud! Keep it up!!
