:) The ice cave is one of the best of the cheap attractions in Switzerland. Only 9 CHF (9 USD), really affordable. You should really consider going there.

It's fun to know this tiny river will fill the whole Geneva Lake and travel through a big part of France. Ça me donne envie d'aller voir ça lors de mon prochain voyage en Suisse.

Found your video after another channel I follow was at a glacier in New Zealand and it reminded me of going to the Rhone Glacier. We drove from Milan into Switzerland and found the glacier by chance and stopped to see it. It was magnificent with the beautiful blue glow in the tunnel. I'm so glad I got to experience it and hope to go again some day. We went in October 2019.

Hi Wendy. Thank you so much for finding to my channel and watching this video. I took it as well in 2019. The tunnel is really beautiful. I am really happy for you that you managed to visit this unique gem of Switzerland. Please combine it with the Goms bridge and the passroads at the Furka, Gotthard and Nufenen next time. It's fun to drive on these roads. This Summer has been very hot and there may have been quite some loss of ice at the Rhôneglacier. Back in the 90s, the glacier was still at the Belvédère hotel. Please visit again :)

@@DjemoGraphic Driving the switchback roads was really our purpose for the day. Wish I would have known about Goms Bridge. I would have been nervous to walk on it, but would have done it anyway. We only spent this one day in Switzerland before driving back into Italy toward Modena, Florence and Rome. A return trip to Switzerland will definitely happen! Hopefully sooner than later.

Thanks for this informative video and the nice shots as ever! It keeps kicking the travel bug in me:) . After watching your channel last night I hopped onto the train in Winterthur early this morning despite an inclement weather to get to Furkapass and the Ice Cave near the Rhone spring as you recommended here. It was a scenic train ride from Brig to Oberwald where I saw from the train's glass window the villages of GOMS with the suspension bridge. When I got to Oberwald the postbus driver told me that the Furkapass has been unfortunately shut down for days. He was kind enough to redirect me to Meiringen which would pass by the Grimsel pass and the Aareschlucht. It was snowing copiously on our way to Meiringen where we made a stop at Grimsel pass and lake. Almost zero visibility up there due to heavy snow! It felt like Christmas already:). From Meiringen I took another scenic ride down to Luzern. Whew, Switzerland never ceases to amaze me with its wonders! Thanks Djemo for your excellent presentations!

Hi Troubadour :) Thanks a lot. That's so nice to hear that you enjoyed watching my videos. I feel sad to hear that you could not visit the ice cave. It's important to check if the pass roads are open. Sudden snowfall might change the situation totally. I can recommend you the Ice cave at the Jungfrau, it's though very expensive. But at least accessible all year. If I am not wrong, Titlis has an ice cave too, the ride costs about half of that of the Jungfrau Joch. But this, you would have to verify. I haven't been to either of them.

Hello Djemo, I thank you for showing us such nice places in Switzerland. I'm living in France, close to Chambéry and I'm planning to visit Rhône glacier by August 2020 (as well as Goms bridge). I think it's an amazing experience to see the Rhône birth whereas, up today, I've only been bike riding on ViaRhôna, next to the Rhône river (from Chanaz to Evieu). Would you say that it's a drawback to only speaking French, or English or Italian instead of German (since it's the language spoken there) ? Besides, could you tell me what's the music between 5:26 and 5:58 ? And by the way, from which language spoken area/Swiss canton are you from in Switzerland ? I thank you in advance for your answers 🙂 Have a nice day !

Hi. Thanks for your comment. These days everywhere you can get around with English. Most Swissgermans understand french, they might though not all be able to reply you. I don't think it is a disadvantage to not speak german, but it surely helps if you do. I am from Canton de Schaffhouse. I am half Swiss and half French. The music is "Skin" by "Daxten" Its from Epidemic Sound, the platform I use to get royalty free music through subscribing. Let me know about the music, I think if you want to subscribe I can help u to get a discount, but I need to check first.

Hi Tom. This is going to be time consuming but it is possible! You can go to Oberwald by train and then take a Postauto (Bus). Else you can try to take the Postauto from Realp, which is at the other side of the Furkapass.

Sehr guet gmacht's Video. - Und nei, ich finde nöd, dass Du Dich zfescht sälber darstellsch. Es gaht um d'Art und Wiis, wie dä Content präsentiert wird und nöd um d'Längi wo öpper im Bild isch. Also disbezüglech muesch Dir überhaupt kei Sorge mache.

@@beargrylls6886 Hotels or B&Bs can be from 30-150 CHF a night, depending on the season the prices are lower (July/August, January-March are peak season) Food wise I would say you will spend around 20-50 CHF a day, depends where you eat. Village restaurants are usually quite affordable and very good. Train tickets return can vary from 20-80 CHF depending on the line you take. Zürich-Lucerne is 40 CHF, Zürich-Rheinfall about 25 and Zürich-Berne about 80-100 CHF (all for return tickets). Renting a car for 4 days will be around 220 USD. Entries to Museums, Caves can be from 5 to 20 CHF, while mountain tops can very from 35-100 CHF.
