The music makes all the raging ten times funnier. lol I had a slightly different version of this game as a kid on the old 42-in-1. Just now learned it was the Famicom version. Played it often, but never got very far. Didn't have the patience for those controls.

Still think that the jumping controls are hella awkward in this. Just have normal jumping controls and instead change the layout of the mountains to make it more difficult. The first new game that Mike has beaten this year and which should be on his Games I've Beaten On Stream list: -Ice Climber (NES) -Ducktales 2 (all treasure map pieces found) (NES)

Nice job, this is a tough game to score chase because the scoring system is so unbalanced. The bulk of points only come when you complete the bonus area.

I honestly do like this game, it's just that jumping mechanics you have to get used to it. I was wondering why Nintendo never made a sequel to this game well besides the Super Smash Bros series.

They probably don't think it would sell. It's not a bad game just a very simple one. I think it could work as one of those mobile games like Doodle Jump etc.

It would be really funny to edit in Mike's reactions to the old NES "excited kids" commercials instead of the overacting they used. it would be effective though, I think. Like to us as little kids, these games were life and death stakes, he really captures that. And it proves that it wasn't just because we were young, it's the way these games made made to be played. Mike and his channel are why I use savestates as an adult. I don't pretend to be mentally capable of enduring this frustration anymore, I play strictly for fun. Anyone who played this way for years, I think, has earned the right to use savestates if they want. We paid our dues.

Mike, near the end, when you suddenly went up a few floors, it was a bear. It came out, walked over to the ice guy near the hole, and jumped. That was when you went up. That's all I know. Cheers

This is weird ..i just bought a hand held all in one 400 Nes game thing and it has this game. I originally played Ice Climber when i was 8yrs old so it was pure nostalgia. I even went nuts when it had Double Dragon 2 as well!

You were on level 33 when you stopped playing 🫢 that is wave 2 or difficulty B where you go through all the stages again at increased difficulty but there's no continuing so it's impossible. The highest I've made it was to level 36. So there must be 64 levels in total! Also I have the game on the Famicom and the abominable snowmen are not in my version instead they seem to be seals. Never knew the NES version is slightly censored.

Loved the Kid Icarus stream, it's one of my all time favorite games. At the end you played wrecking crew, can't wait for you to do a whole stream of wrecking crew, I tried it because of your stream, it's super fun and addictive..it's one of those NES games I just "never got around to" for whatever reason

I'd love another Kid Icarus style game. I'd make one myself, but it's so hard to program those old games... believe it or not it takes a lot of behind-the-scenes trickery to make a scrolling level like you see in NES games!
