Although my cold process soap making tutorials are of a tutorial nature, they are intended for people who have a good understanding of making cold process soap. Hand stirring fos is the way to go, but I have also found that the less “water” I use, the better my batter (I use aloe juice with a distilled water mixture). In other words, if I have 4 ounces of lye (and I soap in ounces), then my batter is way better when I use 5 .2 ounces of “water” instead of 7 ounces, or whatever. That’s a fake example, but hopefully soapers know what I’m saying. I will do my lye times 1.2 or 1.3, instead of a higher calculation of water to lye ratio. It keeps my batter workable 90% of the time
