This video made me cry like a little kid, my father passed away 2 months ago and this week would have been his 58th birthday. Seeing you having such a nice time and enjoy a good day with your parents, made me think how I'm never able again to be out in nature with my dad and enjoy the beauty of nature.

I will be 70 this year. I have one older brother (who goes ice fishing almost everyday) left on my side of the family. I have in-laws too, but I have a TON of the BEST memories like ice fishing with family and friends when we all were younger!!

Wow! This video was even better than your dad"s!. I grew up on Presque Isle Bay in Erie, Pennsylvania where Perch are part of our culture. They are such a beautiful fish. I love the tones of green and yellow you see on the healthiest of them at certain times of year. You guys got some big ones for sure. As pretty as they are, they sure are delicious and you are taking them from healthy waters with a plentiful supply. This might be your best video yet!

I remember doing this with my family. We did not have the shanty, but we did make a fire on the ice, and re-heated veggie beef soup we cooked the night before with hot cocoa. The best memories of my youth was doing this with my family and spending every weekend for years at our cabin in the north woods of the upper midwest.

I have great memories with my dad fishing in ice shacks on the lake in Maine catching freshwater smells the shacks had a wood stove electricity and a wooden pole that would go across the hole in the water and lines coming off the pole every twelve inches and u could buy your bait on the shore we use blood worms. One season we caught 101 smelts we froze some and gave some two another family. Fun time he passed away a long time ago now but we did a lot of hunting too.
