We filmed this in January. Every winter is different for ice development. We had about twelve inches of good ice.

Wow, really need to go that heavy over there huh ???? Those giant crappies really fight that hard ????? Whatever, i believe it, every fish is different in different state/country, expect the unexpected....

The 48 inch rod still has a really light tip while the back bone is nice for hook sets in deep water. With the spoons we were using, we were using four pound test mono.
