Checked out 12 lakes today in the otter tail, Fergus Falls MN area and mostly open waters. Last year I was out on 6 inches of ice. So I just play with all my ice fishing gear in my garage at night. Lol can’t wait for the ice.

We play with them and that technology definitely compliments a Vexilar at times. They really shine for finding wandering fish over basins and can cut down the time it takes to find fish. They can also tell you how much the fish are moving and how fast. Still prefer a Vexilar when I have fish right below me.

Is a fish swallowing a plastic lure concerning? Or are they made of something that will be digested and not hurt the fish?

Very few fish actually swallow the soft plastic but from what we have seen from fish we have caught in the past, they often just pass them through if given enough time as we have caught larger fish like bass, walleye, etc that had a piece of soft plastic that was starting to pass through the anus.
