Hey Kevin, another great video! It's my first season this year with a machine, and would love to get out further to some of the shoals in Simcoe. I know pressure cracks are something to look out for out there, but just wondering if you have any tips or a video on how to safely navigate a pressure crack and how to cross them? Thanks!
@FoxFishing4K
@FoxFishing4K Жыл бұрын
It's a video I have often thought of doing. I fear that information may make someone try to cross a pressure crack when they are not experienced enough. A video like that may get people into trouble. Let me think about it. See what I can do. It may save someone as well. Leave it with me and thanks for the suggestion.
@adrianl9366

@@FoxFishing4K for sure, totally understand the reasoning. Crossing a pressure crack or even stepping out onto the ice should be at the risk of each individual and their comfort level. For me I'd love to equip myself with as much information possible to be able to make the right choice for myself. Thanks Kevin!

Which ends of the lake do you find you see more burbot? Ive fished kemp, south shore of the main lake and throughout Innisfil... Yet to see or catch burbot! There must be more of them out of Oro and Orillia. Maybe I just need me a machine to get to some of the juicy shoals!
@FoxFishing4K
@FoxFishing4K Жыл бұрын
We get a lot in Kemp and other deeper areas usually from Jan 1 - Jan 15th ish. After the 15th, we see a lot more burbs hanging on the shoals. Won't matter the area of the lake though. Find the edge of the shoals and find the burbs. Hoping to do a Burbot video next!

Great info Kevin, thank you. Do you think a 10lb fluo is too much and may spook them?
@FoxFishing4K
@FoxFishing4K Жыл бұрын
I fished many of years with 10lb and 12lb and caught fish. Heck 15 years ago I bet we were using close to 20lb on our jigging sticks lol. But I do believe the lighter line helps especially first ice and when the water is clear. Even if it only catches me a couple more fish over the length of a season all those small details add up.

Hey guy , I've been fishing for white fish for three years out of cedar Beach area in about 20 to 25 of water, with good structure . I see lots of fish , I even started moving my aqua view back at least 15 feet. All day they won't commit, the only thing I noticed that late in the afternoon they start looking down like they want to feed but still won't commit. Any ideas
@FoxFishing4K
@FoxFishing4K Жыл бұрын
Drop your bait quicker. They see incredibly well. If you're dropping too late, the fish will not be interested. If you're fishing with a friend, make sure you're both down early as one bait staying high too long can spook the fish as well. Often if using a camera instead of a fishfibder your almost spotting the fish to late. Try to use a fish finder with wide cone angle and drop fast. They will definetly bite then.
