Ice Fishing on St. Lawrence Island, Alaska

In this video, I went out ice fishing with my younger cousin Tracy on one of the lagoon's on St. Lawrence Island. It was a cold couple of days on the ice but we had a lot of fun fishing for tom cods and smelts.

Is the ice chisel point something that's commercially produced if so may I ask what it is. Or is it home built by a local craftsman. Ps.... Loving your content. Thanks for taking the time to make it

The chisel was commercially produced but I’m not sure where. My father got it from his uncle a long time ago. His uncle had attached it to the stick using a metal pipe. Thanks for watching!

Not sure of the spelling but I believe it is called an Ukiistuk. Am I close?
