Great series of skills and progression with and without pucks. To minimize players waiting in line and keep them interested, after the last tire we have them skate the puck into the zone for a shot on net each turn.

This is a top notch teaching tool for coaches to use with young players. My Squirts will be doing this EVERY practice. Thanks for filming this.

Awsome! Thanks for the feedback. It is amazing how much better the fundamentals get and how much the players progress if you can implement these skills at least once per week throughout the season. I saw a ton of growth on our girls U12 team this year.

A few of these drills, depending on your players' development level, should be the first 15 minutes of every practice!

New hockey parent here. What are the objects he is skating around called? I have seen them for my sons practice, do they have a special name?
@Spotted_in_vegas4 ай бұрын
They’re go-cart tires, you can go to your local go-carting place and asked them for used up tires, they’ll be happy to give them to you

Yeah what @MedTHC Ontario said! Any these just plain old tires? Just from your local tire shop tires? or from Sport Chek!? We need answers lol

none of that is at game speed so in my opinion it's a waste of time. If you practice at half speed you are going to play at half speed
@fabianferrand29434 жыл бұрын
you don't do warm up at the same pace as the game speed. the purpose is to...well...Warm ankles, thighs, wrists and so on.

You need to build musslememory, also this is tutorial for a warmup not a league team training video

Better to do it slow then till you've got it, then speed it up.
