They make spikes you can put on your shoes that strap on for like $20. I’m an otr truck driver that’s an AK so walking on ice is a constant winter ordeal. Those work better than anything else aside from pulling out the forearm crutches and removing the rubber boot and using the metal base as a spike of sorts to help.

Yeah, I learned that when it’s icy and slick out, I just stay home. There is nothing that pressing for to have to get out in it. Gives me a day to get into my radio room and tinker with my radios.

as a fully functional 2-legger, even I would be taking a fast trip to the ground and using my butt as a landing pad on that ice. Well done for staying upright!!

I fine snow where you can't see what's underneath that you're stepping on (or feel) is pretty dangerous too. I live in Michigan

Ice crampons should help, but you would probably need boots or shoes with strong heels and soles

Sad to hear, why are you having surgery again? Please explain many of us don't know what happened. Will you need a new socket after the procedure? How long until you are back in your prosthesis?

@@lapislazarus8899 I keep hearing about how horrible that guy is supposed to be. However, almost every time I’ve heard anything specific (“OMG, have you heard about what DeSantis did/said”, etc), and then I looked into it, either he was taken way out of context (and what he said/did was actually pretty reasonable) or what was said about him was an outright lie. End result is I now mostly ignore the complaining about him.
