never listened to this band but this is a remarkably efficient way to do things, especially with the 2 FOH signals. Soundmen must love working with them.

It's definitely very convenient and makes it super easy when they have to plug-in-and-play, which is a lot of tours!

You know I just realize something. I noticed with some bands, (at least to my knowledge), they have quite a lot of high-end gear for touring, but you do wonder how much money they have left over after investing in this gear, since half of this stuff must cost of fortune. Even some of the newer bands manage to acquire such high quality gear, even though they just started out 2-3 years ago. Am I the only one who thinks that every time when I watch one of these?
@digitaltourbus8 жыл бұрын
Depending on the gear, they might be sponsored by the company. Ernie Ball definitely gave them those guitars for free or at a deep discount. As for the light show and all the high-end gear to run their tracks. A lot of the gear makes their set-up more compact/lighter, so they spend less on gas towing their trailer. For INK especially, I can almost guarantee that this gear hast saved them a ton on gas alone, plus it has improved their live show, possibly helping increase their draw.
@LivingArtExoticsCAN6 жыл бұрын
Being in a band is expensive work, these guys have definitely worked long and hard to be able to acquire this gear over a span of time.

It's fascinating how similar this is to the rig I built for my band with nothing preconceived. I too landed with an Axe-FX, Behringer X32, Sennheiser IEM's, and a DMIS light controller. I found some different components though with Line 6 wireless guitar systems, a VocoPro wireless mic kit, and a Donner wireless DMX rig.

wow, ice Nine Kills on that Fishman Fluence game?! and look at all that direct-audio gear for stage conveniences.... dammmmn metalcore bands are getting more and more efficient and economic with gear.
@digitaltourbus7 жыл бұрын
What do you mean? I'm a bit confused.
@sacredxgeometry7 жыл бұрын
couldn't have written it more straightforward honestly. What i meant is you don't typically see this level of gear worship from bands like these. That's really all I meant. the dedication to perfect live symmetry is not something I have seen often in metalcore in and of itself, not to this degree. it is humbling and I really dig their setup 150%!
@givenspade3 жыл бұрын
hopefully you guys can do an updated one with Dan or Ricky. Also have you guys tried doing one with Lorna Shore?
@digitaltourbus3 жыл бұрын
We'll look into it, but ultimately it's up to the band. As for Lorna Shore, we've tried to get them for Bus Invaders, but they have never been interested. We'll try for Bus Invaders or Gear Masters next time they're in Chicago.

basic question: How does the bassist use that tuner if its in the rack? isnt the rack off stage so wouldent he need to go off stage between songs just to tune??
