@KermitFrogThe5 жыл бұрын
Bullying tends to come from fear. The irony isn't and shouldn't be lost on any of us. I would defy anyone to say they have never bullied another individual. As a parent I undoubtedly have, using scare tactics to enforce a rule is creating fear in your child. Most of the time I can justify this, road safety etc. but I have no doubt I will have overstepped a number of times. Overall I must have done well, my son is mid teens, doing well and has a good sense of self and pretty good confidence, but not to see where I got things wrong would be bad parenting. Too many think of bullying as something others do and are unwilling to assess themselves, I assess myself a lot, you can't improve if you don't. I was the skinny little nerd with glasses at school so yes I got more than my share of bullying. It messed me up, wasn't the only thing to do so, same true in most cases. nerds like knowledge for knowledge's sake so when I saw a couple of situations that came to pass in adulthood I did something many messed up can't. I retrospected and understood a bit more. First instance was seeing a guy who wasn't the worst of the bullies in my final school, in fact he didn't pick on many, I was 1 of them. He came up to me and apologised for what he did and explained why he did it. He wasn't achieving well in school, he tried but didn't have the natural aptitude, teachers would often say he needed to work harder and be more like me, basically bullying him into feeling low value. He couldn't fight back against them so he took it out on me instead, not fair, but how many adolescents have a stable enough mind to always be so (the neuro-science behind why is interesting by the way). Yes of course I accepted his apology, not to would have added to the bullying he'd received. I have helped in adult education since then too, his story is far from rare, teachers please take note, your bullying impacts too. I did state I was a skinny little nerd with glasses. I'm still a nerd, but due to a lot of iron in my training diet skinny and little not so much. I was out a few years into training this way, a few decades ago now, and met up with some people I had known from school one of whom didn't recognise me and asked one of the others to tell him who I was. When he was told his reaction was fear, which I found offensive. The fact I was now looking down on him and could have easily beaten him up didn't mean I was scared enough to do so. Bullying will never stop, the best we can do is ensure people are made aware of what they are doing to others and for parents and teachers to encourage not doing so. I will take a parallel from something else that is socially unacceptable and badly handled, rape. There was a forum where my wife saw a very brave parent with son and daughter, son being older. She had just had a conversation with her daughter about how to avoid rape and reflected that she had never discussed not committing this horrific act with her son. She didn't go straight to doing so as she wanted to prepare properly, but learned from this. My son has mean subject to this discussion, he didn't like it, but it helped him understand better and hopefully means he won't commit this offence. None of us like to think our sons will, but how many of us have done anything to help prevent it, my parents sure didn't, if anything the talk was almost promoting it in some cases.
@waffenkatzen19925 жыл бұрын
@@Shinotant it would be more efficient to emphasize consequence rather than "being a decent person" children and young adults can be the most horrific ppl in existence, so for such heartless ppl only consequence analysis would have a chance of even getting through to them, for example schools should have mandatory seminars for all classes especially in the higher levels such as 13-15, 16-18 and go thorugh schoolshooters who went literally mad from bullying and because of it took it out on the school in a case of total animalistic ferocity fueled by hate created by the bullies i think then and only then there would be a slight chance of bullying to atleast go down somewhat, if they was forced to see pics of massacres carried out by ppl who went mad from being bullied, i think this extremely harsch and brutal method is the only way to get into their heads and literally show them what their behaviour inevitably leads to

@mr.mayhem8336 жыл бұрын
@@Morbidly_Sweet Reviewing your comment I see that your grammar is very poor. Luckily the iPhone your parents bought you has auto-correct to disguise a bit of the utter annihilation that is you trying to type properly. With that out of the way, I don't see how this video is cringy whatsoever. If you compare this to some other music videos from different bands/artists, it is far superior. The acting was not "crappy as fuck" it was actually very well done along with the entire video. Basing their music off of things like classic literature and horror movies is very unique and something needed in this age of talentless, unoriginal soundcloud rappers. What puts the icing on the cake is that they can make their songs have the feel of what they are basing the song off of. This is something a lot of bands can't pull off. Something you must also know is that these guys are not the makers of Carrie, so they're not going to make the exact ending. The band even said that when they make these music videos they put their own touches in there for the Ice Nine Kills feel. The ending was not supposed to be an exact replica, it was their own depiction. Either way, it's still far more entertaining to watch and enjoy than 90% of the horrendous "music" that's being put out today. I hope you enjoy your day, and enjoy typing out pointless comments on music videos that are 2 years old since you have nothing better to do. I'd advise actually paying attention in English class from now on instead of collecting and chewing the gum from under the desks.

I found them a couple days after listening to your number's up and they're soooooo good at what they do. I feel like they should make an album DEDICATED to books Stephen King made over the years

INK is amazing. This video is perfection. The acting is a little weird, but the video is an amazing tribute to the horror legend Stephen King. You guys never dissapoint, and I've been around since Safe is Just a Shadow

I never thought Carrie was horror, but more supernatural thrama (thriller-drama). No matter how she ended up, I felt sympathy towards her. If anything, fuck the mom.
@nickluciano22198 жыл бұрын
brucenatelee I didn't mean Carrie was a horror. I was saying its a great tribute to Stephen King, who wrote it. He's a horror legend. Yeah, I always felt bad for her. and fuck the mom lol

i would say her situation could be described as horror. I mean god damn it fucking sucks.

I was bullied from 1st grade through 10th grade.. Took me 7 schools to graduate.. Last school no one picked on me.. all kids respected all the other students.. didn't mater if rich, poor, education level.. I was picked on so much. I still deal with it at 48 years old.. I had a mental break down from so much hate from being a kid to an adult from abusive relationships till 2018.. I have no trust in men anymore and stay single.. I had 2 years of great school years though to graduate..

Next video idea: The kid, now friends with the bully, goes on a hiking trip with his friends. They decide, "Hey, let's go mountain climbing!" and they get lost, with no way to contact people for help. The Plot Sickens.
