@@Bristow9091 yeah this band is really going hard into the backing tracks.. Their songs in general rely so heavily on sampling and choreographed non musical cues that they probably wouldn't even work too well live without those backing tracks.

They were absolutely PHENOMENAL and I was in a stellar section of the crowd, but I have one complaint: WHY did they change the lead-up to the breakdown???? I screamed “That really makes it A CUT ABOVE THE REST! HEY PAUL!!!” but they were just like “it really gives it a BIG BOOST.” My heart broke just a little bit. Other than that they were fuckin EXCELLENT.

I'm not sure if this show has playback (it seems to actually have a lot), but I watched a newer one and definetily there was no playbacking, the parts that Spencer didn't sang the other members sang, he's the frontman, the showman, so sometimes he just don't sing to make a better show, but i expect they don't use backtracking now, hearing perfectly his voice without a recorded one in the back is WAY better

@1:36 he walks over to the drums, takes a drink and than he walks off stage. During the breakdown Spencer runs off stage, pretends to cut his head off and than comes back on stage with it. I think it's cool they added it to the show.

Was thinking the same, I understand those talking backtrack bits are a big part of the song but they can be skipped altogether live.. cause they're overwhelming and hes basically not even singing.. it just ends up sounding like some kindof pop gig of a musical or smt 😂

@@tuckafella94 it’s just Pre recorded audio coming from a MacBook, DI into the mix oh wait it’s still called a backing track.. might as well be at a kidz bop concert. I’m more nervous that it might be the whole track going DI rather than just the vocals. Very sad..

@@j45on correct. But it's only that prominent because of how close the phone mic is to the stage. They clearly have no stage sound and DI everything, so you're essentially hearing whatever is coming out of their monitors. As a vocalist, he's most likely just being blasted with himself and the backing track. So lip syncing is literally not a thing, and it most certainly isn't a case of backing track being higher in the mix from the PA. Have a crack at Lucas Mann/Jared Dines beef, it's explained a whole lot better than I can. Literally every band does this, all your favourite bands DEFINITELY do it. It's about sounding as good as possible.
