You did really well, but they don’t come sharpened fresh from the box, most rinks will sharpen it for you and it should be much easier!

i would invest in proper bladeguards as it damages the blade less when ur walking round in them especially for breaking in the boot

I went ice skating this past winter and I absolutely hated it! I felt so limited with the blade and couldn't wait to get back to my quads. Also my ankles were on fire! That shit is hard.

Maybe rollerblading would be a tad more similar. I can ice skate moderately. But for some reason i can't not rollerblade

I just started ice skating lessons this weekend but my skates aren't as pretty as those ones. Roller skating always seemed harder to me from our various field trips as a kid, but I might give it a shot once I get comfortable on the ice.
