I hope you will enjoy your Kindle. I have had several and the Paperwhite is small enough to fit into a shirt pocket and it can wirelessly read ebooks to me while I sew. You can d/l different voices to go with different areas of the country if you want a southern accent, a more refined accent, a British...oh, you get the idea, they are wonderful! I used to be just like that with books too. Last year for my new years resolution I decided I should try and read every day of January, which quickly turned into every day of the year. I went from never reading anything to 60 books in one year! Still reading now but not as much, proud of the achievement but I definitely need time for other projects now haha!

Dogs just do NOT get books! 😂 They watch us doing what looks, to them, like nothing and it's very puzzling to them. We're usually doing *something* so I think they perceive it as something being wrong and that we're just staring off into oblivion! 😂 They understand TV to a degree because they can see it, too, so know that we're at least *watching* something even if they can't follow it (some dogs can). I think they're sort of doing a combo of "Are you okay or do I need to go tell somebody that Timmy's in the well? " and "If you *are* okay, then how about using your downtime to give me some love!" Either way, it's adorable!

I've been so busy in my preparations for the holiday that I've been a week behind on vlogmas and today was the day I was going to catch up on the channel. Just didn't expect to watch them all from the airport. After several delays, my flight home got cancelled (along with many others') but my time spent there did not feel like a waste. I enjoyed a toasted white chocolate mocha w/ oat milk, no whip while watching these wonderful vlogs. I talked to a lot of nice people going through worse holiday travel nightmares than me. And I was able to make it to my local Christmas mass after all, which was more than lovely. So for anyone out there with holiday drama/struggles just know that it will all work itself out somehow and just enjoy the little things that make Christmas magical. I feel like macenna's vlogmas captures this and inspires me to have a little more joy in my day

1. Don't get hocky skates. They're much harder to learn to skate on. 2. Your ankles were hurting because the rental boots were broken down. Ask for ones with firm leather in the ankle area of the boot. The softer that leather is, the more your ankles will hurt. You need the support. Former competitive ice skater here so speaking from experience. Looks like you're having all the fun that is Christmas! Hoping you and Romeo have a wonderful one!

I've always found reading to be quite difficult, my reading level was always behind most of my classmates and I am terrible with reading comprehension, but about 5 years ago I made it my new years resolution to read 20 books by the end of the year, I ended up reading 30 that year which was a huge deal for me, I'd rarely read more than 2 or 3 in a year (unless it was Harry Potter!) Ever since then, I read every night before I go to bed which is great because that's a solid hour of no screen time before bed(I do NOT count reading on a kindle/iPad to be screen time :P) I can't even tell you how much reading 30-40 books a year has enriched my life! Keep going!!

Try double cleansing! Oil or balm to dissolve makeup/sunscreen. Then follow up with cleanser, toner, moisturizer. It’s a real game changer for skin.

Hope your Christmas is a happy one, MaCenna! I'm so glad you've picked up the reading bug and that you're getting a Kindle to make that easy to satisfy. I have always read a lot - I averaged a book a day (if 500 pages or more, it took 2 days) for years until lately. The Kindle was a godsend! No trips to the library to trade stacks of books (I'd also take out cookbooks, decorating travel, how-to, etc books, etc so lots) for new stacks every week. No waiting on lists for newly released books. And much cheaper than buying when you don't want to wait on the list! Best of all, it's small enough (especially the Paperwhite) to take everywhere so you can just pull it out and read if you're stuck somewhere waiting for an appointment or eating alone at a restaurant. I have 5 (!) and have loved them all, though some haven't been used in a couple of years. My favorite was discontinued a few years ago - the Voyage - and I live in fear of the day it dies. But the Paperwhite is my second fave and I use it often, too. Happy reading!

Regarding the facial wipes...you can use them when crafting that way you can use them up rather than throwing them away. They work incredibly well with painting/ clay crafts.

I agree about the books!!! I also was never a reader during school, but this year I read one amazing book and it felt amazing to finish one. Then I got a kindle oasis and I can take books anywhere with me, so even just waiting in waiting rooms, airplanes, or to wind down after work, reading has become a joy!!! I recommend The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller and You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle. Slow burn romance!!!

You can still use the towelettes for you face to take off the bulk of your make up so your cleaners last longer cuz you aren’t using as much.. but if travel the towelettes are good to quickly cleanse your brushes in between uses if you are doing eye makeup or something.. also loving your vlogs and your house as well! I use my iPad to read with the Libby app. My local library has an option to borrow books on the Libby app for free! It has changed my life. I encourage you to use those resources :) I am pretty sure there is a Kindle option as well.

Merry Christmas to you and all yours. I wish t was in the sixties where I live. Next year I may live in Florida at this time. It’s below freezing in NorthWest Georgia. And it’s crazy. My husband is not happy. We moved from Ohio to Georgia for better weather. So we may be Florida bond next year. I used to go ice skating every week as a kid. And I was good. But I would still fall. One time I slid along way on my stomach. That was not fun. But I was a teenager and I got right back up. I’m 63 now, I’d probably break a bone. But I would have fun doing t. I skated in high school behind some peoples houses on a pond. It’s a lot easier if the ice isn’t all messed up. You get in someone else’s runt or trail, you’re in trouble. You did pretty good. It takes practice.

You should check with your local library (whether it’s in LA or in TX) because they usually have programs that allow you to check out digital books and download them to your kindle! I used to buy all of my books because I grew up in a small town with a very tiny library so I never used it. I eventually moved to a bigger city with an AMAZING library and now I read all of my books for free on my kindle via the library (specifically my library uses the Libby program)

Regarding the white wash cloths We have been using them in my home for the last 30 years since then I’ve noticed less breakouts and there is something cleansing about having a fresh wash cloth everyday. And not if you need to bleach them (I do mine twice a year with a just a touch of bleach) but follow with an extra rinse. Or, if you need to use a bit more bleach because of some sort of staining, run them through a second cycle with no detergent, etc. If you're still worried about the initial construction, you can buy 100% y bleached (and undyed) cotton towels and washcloths that are a natural cram or ecru color.
