She showcased companies who gave her free (bland) stuff to use in exchange for getting a cut from the sales generated as a result of sheepies buying from said companies using her special code. Money, money, money.... and appease the talentless (when it comes to interior design) friends. Benefit everyone but her fans, her faithful viewers! We've just been used, folks! The candles are spectacular though. And getting a professional artist - her Mom - to design interior part of the packaging is the next level! It immortalized her Mom as a commercially recognised (finally) artist and it will make them highly collectable and go up in value. These vessels were designed to be limited edition and kick off collecting spirit in people. But they will also end up in thrift stores. Nothing wrong with that. I bought a few highly collectable valuable vintage art glass pieces in thrift stores for cheap. It happens to. I'd like to see Macenna art glass alongside Fenton and Murano. Why the heck not??!!!

I am concerned about how much these candles are going to cost. MaCenna does not tend to buy budget friendly items herself. Add to that, the vessels are heavy, thick glass and have to be hand poured and hand removed from their molds. Add to that the wax is hand poured in each individual candle. Add to that the beautiful art on the inside of the box. Add to that the frame-worthy postcard of her Mom’s artwork. All of this (and I do hope her Mom is getting paid for her artistic contribution) is adding to the cost of each candle. Any guesses as to the retail cost per candle?

Maybe, scented drawer liners and it’s of her mom’s artwork printed on the sheets?!? Also, aprons, table-runners, tea towels, dish cloths, with reproductions of her mom’s artwork?!? Same goes for mugs and a calendar! A calendar of the mom’s still-life flowers, or holiday sceneries, or Macenna’s garden roses for every month of the year?!? Even puzzle art! Ideas are endless aren’t they? And we as the consumer can make them richer than rich! Ha! 😂

No, the boxes ARE made from recycled material. Boxes are not to be recycled. Don't you know that designer candles in original packaging, (especially when a professional artist specifically created internal images for a limited collection) only go up in value? I bet these empty glass vessels in original boxes will be auctioned off years later for higher price than the original candles when they first come out. She should do some with higher quality handblown art glass (not spray painted) and sell a limited edition for 250 dollars each. You and I probably won't buy it at the price. But many people don't buy anything UNLESS it's expensive and limited edition. There will be buyers for those, guaranteed!

My thoughts are, for it to be sustainable, you need to have the candles made seperately to fit inside the vessel, not poured into the vessel insitu because otherwise you have to buy the whole thing everytime instead of just buying re-fills. I mean realistically how many vessels does one need. That way it also makes it more affordable for your average person as you just buy re-fill candles as and when you run out as opposed to having to buy the whole thing everytime. It would also save on shipping costs if you can just buy the candle on it's own once you have already purchased the vessel.

I just love how this is obviously been a very labor intensive process to make sure you get something that you love and we will love as viewers instead of just slapping your name on a product that already exists that I feel like a lot of youtubers do! Because if you imagine, that you fell in love with the candles - you would end up with a collection of the vessels... And how nice would it have been, if you then had them all in clear, and could use them for drinks, etc.! But the question is, can the colour be removed? Because it looked like they just "spraypainted" the clear ones?

There's nothing wrong with a set of mismatched glasses. Plus, they have multiple uses. They can be re poured, used as a holder, a vase or just drinking glasses.

@@madzabinga8382 Yes, it was not to critisize, I would just prefer it, if the vessel was clear, so I wanted to know if, when the candle was done, the colour on the glass could be removed. Some coloured glass loose the colour, if you put them in the dishwasher on a hot program 🙂

Orange is actually my most favorite in candles! 😊 Citrus, really. I love a scent that feels like a burst of happiness. I also like a scent it whatever the word "innocence" might mean in a candle. I love a soft sweetness with subtle spiciness of amber and orange or lemon. Thats how i prefer my perfumes also.

I want to say thank you for taking us on this 3 part series to show us the journey of your collection. I have seen others put things out there for their merchandise (including candles), but never talked about how they made the decisions, and how those decisions impact the consumer. I also like that you couldn't use the wood to burn. As someone with ashthma there are certains things I can use and can't use, and by burning wood I would miss out on the holiday candle! How much fragrance is in these candles? Would it be considered mild or heavily scented? An unscented option would be great for those of us with sensitivities to smells!
