spent 300k gold, around 50 exalts to switch from mathil's "lightsaber" build which focused on storm wave and tempest flurry along with charged staff to this build. WOW OMG. It feels like a new character. I never had trouble with DPS on the previous build but I would keep getting 1 shot all the time. As a general tip when piecing together a budget build, Tainted Strike is a quite cheap anoint to boost crit chance and ailment magnitude. Meaning your shocks provide more vulnerability on target, and the herald combo will chain more consistent etc.

@@TG-28-x9l Put the three distilled emotions and the amulet in your inventory, then right click any of the emotions to open the distillation menu. It's kinda janky, but it works. It will show a preview of the notable if the combination is right. You can anoint the same amulet as many times as you like. There's at least one online resource for handy indexing of the notables and oils, so you can review your options.

@@SoMoN69 it's just an expert crescent quarterstaff. the corruption gives it a second extra 36% to critical damage bonus. it's very rare. but like this video points out, critical damage bonus don't get calculated into DPS, so a lot of sellers underprice them. i have now 51% crt rate and 710% crt damage and 94k DPS on ice strike. its output is like those 800 dps quarterstaves without the crt dmg bonus. those 800 dps quarterstaves cost at least 20 div+, and this quarterstaff had 400 dps and only cost 2 div.

Idk man. I work 55 hours a week and am married. I don’t have kids and granted the holidays gave me 3 extra days off but I’ve already cleared t18s, got all my atlas points, and am level 90. I haven’t fought the pinnacle boss yet..or any breech bosses but I have all my boss books found. Got all my ascendancy points, found 2 perfect jewelers so both my main abilities are full linked without having to pay for them/corrupt them. Bought all my gear(not perfect but pretty damn good) and still have 500exalts in my tab. I think I’m doing alright. Not to mention I have a level 76 alt clearing t9-10s and a level 28 I’m starting to work on now.

I tried all the builds. This is the best one. Chaos inoculation is the truth for mapping. If youre fighting a boss that doesnt do chaos dmg like asc4 trialmaster, simply turn it off for a little extra es. Crit dmg and atk speed are the best dmg buckets to go into. Make sure you have some mana sustain like mana on kill on your gloves and mana leech. Swap the infusions on your herald skills and no need for the unique ring... So yeah, ignore the other videos, this is the one.

Best Part of this Build ist, that u can start playing it, as soon as u get enough spirit (60) to get thunder and ice passive. Obviously in a way weaker version, but for example i play it since beginning and building it up. Now im lvl 60 and clearing maps (Campaign) like nothing already. Soon i can use the combat freenzy + the skilltree thing and woop woop. I hope it doesnt get nerfed till i reach endgame xD

What i did is 30 Spirit -> Herald of Thunder 60 Spirit -> Herald of Ice 90 Spirit -> Combat frenzy + Resonance I used a Spirit Amulet for this build. But you get 100 Spirit from campaign too and you should get that asap, you should be able to do it right now, since you are 60, the last one you get in the last act (6). You need alot of Mana too. Since i can you Combat Frenzy + Resonance the build feels why more chill and smooth.

something to keep in mind with Chaos Inoculation - you get both bonus be it positive or negative on node that read "at low life" and "at max life" being at on 1 hit point the game considers you both. So nodes like "Killer Instinct" give you both 30% AND 50% attack damage .

This build is a day & night change for any Monk. It's insanely good. I don't have 40% of what you have and I'm already soloing tier 5 and 6 at Lv72-73. With my original build i wasn't able to complete a T1 alone at level 66. This build SHREDS. Love it. Thanks man. Ive been playing merc and have great damage but there is just very little in terms of survivablity. After like 10 respecs and making it to level 87 I think I will try this route. I ended up doing this build but taking it a bit further, now i have like 12k ES with Grim feast and clear any content without a worry, this works as a base perfectly and when you get more divs to spend, better gear (wep with high dps +crit mods/less pieces with res but higher res on the ones that have/higher evasion and es) + using Howa goes hard

HELP. Don't know why this doesn't work for my 92 monk. Have been using double Heralds (different gem settings) w/ Polcirkeln which worked well cleared the whole map. Wanted to drop Polcirkeln, followed the planner exactly, but two Heralds with new gem usage doesn't look like complimentary each other. Anyone have same problem? (Quarterstaff DPS:670, Ice strike DPS: 44k by default /crit rate 42% / crit bonus 310%)

It works for me, i don't think it will constantly explode like the polcirkin did though. Make sure all your skills are quality 20 as i notice more/bigger explosions after to got everything to 20.

Ive been slowly converting to this build. And I think the most important thing is attack speed,then DPS of the weapon. And then it’s the jewels,and gears come after that. And then the problem of keeping up with mana is just impossible without having 20+ divines in your stash. Currently at lvl 91,had to buy a staff for 6 divines,jewels for 50 exalts each and could only afford 1 jewel at the moment. A single jewel with +10% cold dmg gives nearly 7-8k dps dmg. The ones in OP’s tree are all worth minimum of 1 divine+ some are currently at 10 divines. Even with all that,my ice strike is only at 53k base dmg. So without a very good amount of currency,it is mostly unachievable for the average monk sadly

Just to note, you don't need to focus on the added dps on support gems. You can play around with them as most provide more utility aside from dps. The tree also provide different ways to multiply damage when certain conditions are met. Have fun and experiment. These buid guides alienate you from having fun and experimenting just read what each support gems provide and see how it could increase your survivability or add additional features to a skill.

@@maoxreloaded normal rings can go up to 20% quality only, the breach ring can go up to 50% so, unless you need a specific implicit, one of the best options is a breach ring. for example: Lets say you have a ring with 150 mana, if you use mana modfier catalyst, you will end up with 180 mana (20%) but 150 mana on a breach ring (50%) you will end up with 225 mana.

Is there an easy way to refund all your passive points or do you have to do them one at a time at Doryani or the Hooded One? I've got this build going and I really like it, but I'm noticing that Herald of Thunder doesn't hit as often for me as it does for you or it doesn't seem to hit enemies on the other side of the screen. It just seems to be less consistent than you show in your videos? Is there a passive skill or stat that affects that? Otherwise, I'm really loving this build and I actually feel powerful.

What would you recommend to remove if you don't have enough spirit for all the buffs? Sill searching for a stronger body armor. Assuming grim feat is a must after chaos inoculation I removed wind dancer but cant socket blind or cull obviously. Not sure if that's a bad move.

On your passive skill tree screen on top right corner you have 24 weapon points mentioned. I have only 22 on my monk. How do I miss 2 of it?

i just cant kill thet4 boss, i can do t3's no problem but cant get the t4. my base ice strike is 142k dmg, 66%evasion, 6000E.S, fire/light res 70% cold is at 30%, any tips?

Question, I am following your build, but I have an issue when I allocate a point to Chaos Inoculate, I can’t use ice strike, Tempest bell or charged staff, it says “ not enough life” how do I fix this issue?

I have almost the exact same passives (im missing the 60% increased ES) and a very similar weapon (10 damage differnece) and my Ice Strike dps is 68k while yours is 121k. How is that possible? Does missing Heft make such big difference? The thing is i noticed you also have double dps on Tempest bell as well.

Weird follow your skill and support gems but I can’t seem to generate any power charges. I went with heralds of ice and thunder and support gems, skill tree has resonance with combat frenzy, What else could it be?

question how do you get more spirit im stuck at 154 i need 6 more to activate wind dancer i have activated herald of ice, combat frenzy, grim feast and ghost dance

Theres a glitch rn where u can put a spirit gem in weapon slot 2 while not having it on slot 1 active. Try that or get a better Body chest with atleast 900 evasion and 300 energy shield

10:05 how did you got this skill on the tree without getting all the other points before ?

It is called anointing. if you hold alt over a node it will tell you what you need to to put that skill on an amulet (distilled emotions from deliriums) ie high alert needs ire, ire and greed. has to be the exact order in the tooltip. when you click on the distilled emotions in your inventory the craft box will appear. hope i explained it well enough
