Funny :D. Only played d2r. But once I got in to maps with POE2 the my dick went so flaccid I'll never get it back up again. There ARE OLMOST ZERO actuall boss fights. The story content & bosses where the highlight for the game. Now it's just a loop of farming normal nobs withouth any actuall boss fighs.

hello. did they thought on console too ? because its nice that pc has it but if there is no support for console for stuff like this it ll be heartbreaking. i played some games which got mods and stuff on pc but not on console ( DeepRockGalatic. ROCK AND STONE !!!!!). Stilll put 4000 hours into that game but often felt like second class and oh my god, the game could have been so much smoother with all the updates pc received over time.

GGG has said they dont want POE2 to drop enough loot that you need a loot filter. Basically this is what they want to nerf. They only want 5 things on the screen. Not exactly - unfortunately with POE 1 I hit a wall in difficulty upon getting to red maps. No matter how many guides I looked at and how much I tweaked the build I just didn't have a chance to complete the atlas with my build that I'd just put 100 hours into - so I quit. Thoroughly enjoyed the game for 100 hours but it literally just got to the point that I COULD NOT progress any further so playing felt futile. If they can fix that somehow then they will indeed own my soul.

@@PanicPvPWoW if you have capped resistances and max life on every gear maps should be fine. Sure you will die to random BS time to time but that's just PoE. If you're not able to progress after red maps It's not a problem that should be fixed by devs It's a problem with your build.

People do pinnacle bosses on very little gear with certain builds so while gear matters maybe the skills you are investing into matter a bit more.

This video perfectly summed up my thoughts. I never played PoE1 and only had experience with Diablo 4 before this. While I had fun in D4, it never hooked me as deeply as these first few days of PoE2 have. I go to bed thinking about that one item that will catapult my build to the next level, find it the next day, and spend hours blasting through maps. Every time I drop a great item for another class, I feel the urge to start a new character and explore something different. I’m absolutely in love with this game, and it feels like this is just the beginning.

I’m addicted to this game but what you said about the one-try boss fights and maps forcing you to spec one-shot builds or do insane research beforehand is my biggest complaint. One of the few times I’ve seen devs be the ones to force players to optimize the fun out of a game. With hours of farming between ATTEMPTS of a boss, it’s really a bizarre choice they made. Imagine if all OG raids in WoW were one-try, and you’d have to farm attunes up again every time you’d want to attempt Black Temple. Where’s the ACTUAL fun in that? It’s a single-player game with cosmetic-only mtx, just let me play the game again lol wtf devs.

Maybe you gotta get through one or two maps to “recharge your keystone” or some other MacGuffin. You're not alone Peon. I've never played ARPG before ever. Always been an FPS game guy but somehow this game hooked me up like a crack. The game is easy but hard. What I mean is it's easy to understand despite all there's so many things to do since their tutorial, tooltips and help in-game are top notch, just read and it's all their whatever you need. It's hard because the monsters and environment are unforgiving, but you get use to it and soon like everything in life, you get stronger and everything gets easier. They just explode and you eventually run them down like dead meats. Oh so fun fun the atmosphere and sound is so perfect too.

It won't have the WASD movement other than that it appear even more crazy to me then poe 2 when it comes to builds and boss fights. Everything is even faster and you have movement skills. Some skills are similar to those of poe2 others are completly different. I think if you like crafting a limitless character with "new" countless possibilities poe1 would be a great game for you.

People complaining about endgame are those that have played PoE1 for 6-10 years, and expect similar levels of progression. Not gonna happen with EA. Don't dislike endgame because you hear the pros saying they don't like it. Get in there and have fun exploring !

I personally see is a guy being excited to POE 2 just turn to a POE 0.5 in endgame. Everything that makes POE 2 actually outstanding completely vanishes when you hit mapping and what is left is a PoE 1 with 0.25x runspeed and barely motivating content. I love PoE 2, had a lot of fun and I know the game becomes great, but everybody who is really happy with the current pacing, difficulty, drop-rate and ability designs in the endgame (!) has not really played PoE 1 ever. It's not like I want PoE 2 want to become a PoE 1, but the mapping endgame currently does absolutely not fit to what they tried to achieve with the capaign. It's like two complete different games - but at least that is what Early Access is for.

I don't think they will nerf herald, but if they do nerf herald then quarterstaves build will be pidgeonholed into pillar of the caged god build and even less build diversity. Herald of Ice is the saving grace of quarterstaves AoE clear, considering on how much the "endgame" is about breach and emphasizing on clearing wholescreen with one tap.

Everything you saw in this video is working as intended. And fun doesn't = broken. The herald, the breach, the ring, they are all fine. If to you this seems like too powerful or too good to stay in the game, just give it some time, you'll see so many good build combos that this one will pale in comparison. The only thing about monk that might get nerfed is the bell and even that is questionable. But right now, being able to summon 3 or more bells at the same time and hit the boss for the insane amount of dmg seems really strong. But my guess is that they will buff bosses giving them way more hp instead of nerfing skills. Because currently there's way too many builds that can literally kill a boss in one shot, which is what they do not want to have in a game. Your monk is in pretty chill position. I wouldn't worry about it.

One thing that may help with navigating maps that have deceptive layouts is to go into your interface options and turn the Landscape Transparency all the way down so your minimap only shows the strict borders of the map and removes the scenery details.

I'm not sure if anyone told you, but you can set affinities for your stash tabs for currency (orbs), gems, flasks, uniques, and league mechanic style items (delirium and essences are the only league ones in the game right now I think). As more stuff gets added, like map/waystone specialty tabs, you'll be able to set affinities for those too. Right click on the tab header. You can change the tab name, the color of the tab (I like to set them to things that key to what they are for, like orange for the unique tab) and turn on the affinities you want associated with it. This works for any 'premium' tab, but personally I generally only use affinities for specialty tabs. Basically you can just turn on the affinity and you can send stuff from your stash directly into the correct tab without going to that tab. Makes sorting the dump tab later easier and less time consuming as well. Doesn't work for gear or things without specialty tabs, though. As a fellow sorting obsessive, you're going to want to play around with this feature.

I absolutely agree on the "I want to kill the boss with my build". To use someone else's build, especially if it's a 1shot build, not only takes away all the fun as it feels like you gave the controller to your big brother, but also it takes away all the fun in trying to assemble it yourself, the dopamine of finding an item rare or unique that makes you think "Wait! If I change this my power is gonna spike so much!" or "Hold on, I'm strong but it's kinda crap. If I use this and spec into that, the gameplay is going to be that much smoother!" It's for stuff like that that I don't mind banging my head against the same boss or map for hours since it's all the struggle, the experimentation and the discovery that make this game so addicting...together with the power trip you get when you get to ludicrous levels of power. I've seen some streamers play their builds of course but what I love about POE2 is specifically that none of them were playing the same build. Even Darthmicrotransaction said he's playing a build that he made, sure he took some pointers from other builds, but he specifically stated that he's not changing it to the same they have since he wants to figure it out himself.

I'm not sure if you know this or not but in the settings under interface, gameplay there is "show life/mana levels" and that will show you exactly how much health, mana, spirit, rage and shield you have just above your two balls :) on the bottom left and right also just a little but down from that there is "show mini life bar above you" and it will put a life and mana bar just above your head it has helpt me keep track of my health abit more but all in all i love to see that you're loving the game i don't think I've ever seen you smile for almost the whole video before and seeing you smile like a kid on Christmas made me smile haha

PoE1 won't be popular. In the end it is pressing 1111 (while animation locked) through 9 acts, then pressing 11111 some more. With no hope for respec if the 1111 you chose is too weak. You should let go of your dreams of PoE2 release helping PoE1. While PoE1 playerbase might "spike" at next league, it won't be higher than leagues before PoE2.

If you can fit "Cast on Shock - Eye of Winter - Deceleration - Inspiration" , it will enormously boost your single target dps with Tempest Bell. But gotta use Tempest Flurry for single target, for clearing can use Storm Wave.

You should definitely try PoE 1 sometimes, the ice shatter chains, the explosion chains, the *schwing* sounds are even more glorious there, since the pack size is absolutely cracked. The barrier to entry is higher, but i think a lot of your knowledge of poe2 will carry over, so you should be fine.

Enjoy it while you can, because it's extremely likely that they'll add 'herald of ice can't chill' to the skill, so you won't be able to do screen wide pops. That's not what they intended for the game to be, according to them at least.

Yup also think they will nerf it along with most of the other things that let you clear whole screens of mobs. Some of the nerfs might suck but imo i think its fine since they wanted this game to be slower and there is still PoE 1 which will remain fastpaced for those that prefer that type of gameplay.

'herald of ice can't chill' This wouldnt even matter, since the meta is to make your ice herald deal shock and light dps, and vice versa for thunder herald. This way they always proc each other, even without the ring.

i played into mid tier maps before realizing i had never activated my spirit skills. Heard similar from others. Game needs to make this more obvious. Just happened to eventually randomly hover over the exact section that said to right click to activate.

@@TheLazyPeon because earlier in the game, you can have multiple aura's or heralds which can't not all be activated at the same time. Some for bossing, other for clear... so you can switch on the battlefield at random ;)

@@Efgand0894 Imo is one of the best things. In POE1 bots helped alot because most ppl did not respond to sell. Now with the currency exchange this is not a big issue anymore.

It depends how its done. If its done like a market with instant trading, that's gonna be 100% bots. But if you make an Auction House, first of all that would disable instant trading, slowing the bots by hundreds of times, and bots wouldn't be able to snipe items placed for 1/1000th of their price, as real player can just quickly outbid them. Basically, to combat bots, you need to make trades take time, and you need an open bidding process. Any time the bots would try to make a lowball offer, a player can outbid them.

if you played for 200 hours, you kinda deserve to be that op, besides one of the fun things about poe in general has always been about making a game breaking builds. currently the devs keep nerfing left and right, but thats because its in early access, but usually what they do is they dont do big nerfs while the season is ongoing, they will do the big nerf when the new season comes out, so you dont have to worry about creating a busted build just to get nerfed in a week

Love seeing you just glowing with excitement with this game man. I’m also a first time player and man I just can’t get enough. D4 got me into a more hardcore mindset for arpg’s but when I lost interest in D4 this game took that enjoyment for the genre and turned it into an obsession. Been playing a grenade spamming build with the a Witch Hunter Mercenary and it’s probably the most fun I’ve had in a video game in years ha. Monk is def high on my list to try next. I’m about 120hrs in myself on just my Mercenary with plenty more I wanna accomplish. It blows my mind how much more I get to experience with all the other classes. And to think this game is still in EARLY ACCESS 🤯

I played an Lightning Invoker, saw your video and changed an version of your build. And oh my god it is so much more fun than my lightning version. It is so cool to see your character almost teleporting to the mobs and everything exploding in ice and lightning everywhere. Woud love to see a "video guide" from you for this build, explaining certain choices. Thanks for this complete change of my playstyle and motivation to play the monk another 200 hours at least!

The moment you said what ding you were thinking of, my brain played that ding and knew you were referring to the divine orb drop before you even mentioned what 'rare drop' you were referring to. I'm at work currently after 10 days of playing this constantly and it has also cooked my brain, all I can think about is modifiers, maps, strategies to clear maps faster, which skills I have in my repertoir as a sorc and what I can branch out into for a better time. I also have never played poe1 before this game but one thing I can say in unison with my heart, mind, body and soul is that this game is THE game I was wanting for a loooong time. I've had draught after draught, trying games, dropping games, forcing myself to play any game in hopes of getting that feeling I was missing from playing games, PoE2 has satisfied that feeling in full and it's been satisfying it every second of me playing it. Hit 300 hours in the game and I feel like a kid who's been given his favourite candy every single second of me playing this game. I love GGG and I love PoE2

I've always described ARPGs to people who've never played em as MMOs but without all the tedium - you just kill stuff, collect the loot, level up and repeat. AND, on top of that, the progression (of PoE, in particular) is SOOOO much more satisfying than the typical "linear" prog of an MMO (green > blue > purp, etc) glad to have you addicted to the masterclass of RPGs
