When this album came out they tried to ban this song so, the record stores would open the package and sell it to you as "used". On cassette of course. Then the cd's got em both. Long time Ice-T Fan and Body Count was just a completely enjoyable vicious slap to the brain and all of the senses.

I adore this song! I never turned a blind eye to any issue in America. I see, I feel, I speak up. Thanks to hip-hop I know.....and Body Count. Truth: The position attracts sociopaths, control freaks with no value for human life. When you start training those loose brained folks like a military unit instead of peacekeepers (their actual job) it's no surprise folks are dying. It's like training a psychopath (i.e. sociopath) how to kill efficiently...with a "don't ask, don't tell" culture supporting them...how the hell wouldn't it turn out like this?

That song should be covered by every metal band THE WORLD OVER, lol! It has universal appeal, no doubt about that. No wonder Tipper Gore and the Bush Administration were in knots over it, but they only went after Ice-T because of his rapper background (convenient enough to spin it their way to the bought-and-paid-for mainstream media back then, bleech!). Should also check out Crime Story from 24-7 Spyz also from the same year ('92). Wonder if THAT song from them was what caused Sylvia Rhone to flat-out drop them from her EastWest label around that period, too... >:-)

This song was Ice-T‘s first and official successful attempt to get in on rock ‘n’ roll and rap compilation like run DMC and mick jagger did with walk this way.
