This is the first time I've watched one of your videos while I'm at my desk at work, "working". This is a great video! I've never heard of this before.

I have been making homemade wine for about 40 years 100 gallons a year and I am always trying different things so that means I am still learning The best advise I can give right everything down

Those skins, I put them in a cheese cloth packet and put that bag right into the ferment. They add tannins and a great dealmof flavor to your must.

Use a little of your water to rinse that bowl into your must. You don't want to waste s bit of that grape juice. The vodka in the trap is a great idea.

I live in wine country in southern lower Michigan. I have 10 winery's within 10 miles of me. You can tell which grapes are going to be ice wine, they put some kind of material over the grapes to keep the birds away. Any way they sell it for 30 - 35 $ a bottle.

Check your local home-brew shop for yeast nutrients as that can help with wines. Also consider your clarification agents and yeast stopper (normally sulfide or heat) or else your risk a bottle blow out as a secondary fermentation (lessons I have learned through so many failures!)

I have camden tablets to stop the fermentation when it comes time. Yes, I've had an explosion! Yikes!

@@TheWildYam I once had a ginger beer explode with such force that only the bottle cap and the base of the bottle remained and the rest of the glass shards were smaller than grains of rice!

@@alexkasacous Wow! Impressive. Mine was unintentional. I had left some pure cranberry juice in a metal water bottle for 1 week or so. Went to take the lid off and nearly lost an eye as cranberry soda shot out the top like champagne!
