IceAge Bomber rail installation on ‘21 Ski-doo 850 Turbo

This video shows the install of IceAge Performance “bomber” rails on my ‘21 Ski-doo 850 Turbo 154. I bent my rails on my final ride last season and these IceAge rails should be much stronger.

Interesting how the instructions I got with my rails, and the instructions on their website mention nothing about those m8 to m10 bushings. Wondered what they were for.... Oops. That's probably why I just about lost the lower fts bolt today

I just bent my stock 2022 Lynx Boondocker DS rails. I haven't got a clue how I bent them, but they are looking like taco's or bananas. Do you know how you bent yours?. I just bought the Ice age rails.. thanks for the video it helped. Love the lift contraption with the boat crank, going to have to make one of those myself haha. I'm using a ladder and a ratchet strap its super jank lol.

I bent mine jumping a creek last year. I must have landed on the rail wrong. The bomber rails have been awesome this year. I’ve hit some serious crap and they are straight. They’ll definitely be getting out on my ‘24 when it arrives next fall.

How does the approach angle compare to the stock rails?

What’s your opinion on their X brace ? Necessary or not… to help prevent bent rails.

It wasn’t available when I ordered but I’d put one on. I think anything that can help prevent twisting will help. I’d call and talk to the IceAge guys. They are very helpful.

Hey Tom, how did your end caps line up with the new hyfax’s with your Ice Age rails. My ice age hyfax’s are about a 1/16th-1/8th of an inch lower than where the rail tip cover meets with the Hyfax’s?? I’m hoping this won’t be an issue….😬

Mine were the same, I just took a grinder to the hyfax and made a smooth transition.

Your bolts are never the same distance on the back wheel and set bolts I use a tension spring tool to set the track to both side this is why they have this tool I was shocked at how bad one side was off by measuring and matching… other then that good video I’m just getting ready to do mine..

I use the track guides for alignment. The gauge just gets you close.

Ski-Doo is not unique on those cross shafts, every manufacturer out there is using those same obstinate parts..
