I look forward to your review video after you've gotten some miles on the new lockout setup. I did the bushings on my '17 and did notice a difference right away. But I wasn't having the same "turn uphill" side-hilling issues on my Expert sleds, so I haven't bothered. I got the new Gen5, and it'll be interesting to compare to my Gen4 Expert. That's becoming the wife's sled, and she's interested in the handling differences, so please keep us posted!

Ordered a lock out kit, put it in. Some stuff was better some was not. I ended up buying a sway bar quick disconnect(front end) to make the sled easier to move around. Then decided I wanted to try the T-Motion again. Destroyed the T-Motion lock out taking it out. Put the stock swivel back in. Tried it in the mountains, hated it. Sled felt like a sloppy mess, had to relearn how to ride. So... Ordered another T-Motion kit. I'll try the sled again with different snow conditions and see if I want to lock out or not again. I wish I could flick a switch and be able to go turn it on or off.

That’s good feedback! I’m interested in trying it. I’ve been on other sleds that were locked out but different handlebars and risers and such so they do feel the same as my sled. It’s going to be interesting to try it on my sled specifically. Thanks for the comment!

@@darrellpatenaude3825 I have quick disconnects on my 2016 summit x and 2018 summit sp and I only disengage them in deep pow. On the gen4 it just doesn’t need the front to be free imo. Your mileage may vary

I’m not understanding how there would be more force applied to the rear arm with lockout then the force applied with tmotion because the force is the force and will be applied in tmotion once you hit that 2 percent deflection. Once you reach that it is essentially locked out at a 2 percent angle. All the tmotion arm does is give you 2 degrees of play before transmitting the force through the rear arm. Am I missing something?

Interested in how you liked it locked out vs stock.

Michael, honestly I rode it half the season locked and half the season not. It doesn’t make that big of a difference. I actually prefer it with the t-motion better.

I've locked out t motion . Im not a fan of t-motion. I dont like the flex edge either.
