Iceberg Lake is exactly what I picture in my head when I think about Glacier National Park - stunning mountains, that brilliant blue Alpine Lake, and a GRIZZLY BEAR! I'm glad that you had a very positive encounter, although I'm sure that my heart would have been beating faster if I was in your situation. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous hike!

WoW! What a beautiful place ! Just left you a message on our video that you commented. I was wondering when your next video was coming . Well it sure is a beautiful video . First love that little echo sound of your voice …did you ad it on ? I can imagine that you were a bit nervous about that Bear and you had your bear spray all the way back …🤣🤪 Both pictures of you at the lake are awesome 🤩 That rock wall was huge and all around the Iceberg lake 😳 How long did it take you back and forth? Thanks for sharing such beautiful places and well explained video . I hope to visit Glacier National park one day because it was close when we passed in 2018 because of forest fires 🔥😢 Maybe next year if the borders open and that the COVID is behind. Have a wonderful upcoming weekend both of you Serge H👩‍❤️‍👨🌈🇨🇦

Thank you Serge and Helene! It was a great hike! That echo was in there by accident (I was recording from an art gallery that has big ceilings and stone floors) but glad you liked that sound! Yep we held that bear spray allll the way back. lol. I think this hike took us about 4.5 hours! Have a great rest of your week!

Wonderful hiking trail and magnificent views of the surroundings. 👏🤘 The Iceberg Lake is such a stunning place. Thanks for the great explanation why the water looks so blue to us. Your painting of the lake looks absolutely amazing, Stoof. And I think you guys stayed pretty calm when you saw the grizzly bear. You never know what's going to happen and you are better prepared (like Nate, instantly grabbing the pepper spray 😉). Another great video production, my dear friends. 👍👌All best wishes, Michael.

so nice to see the reflection of the pine trees in the lake. And the colour of the water in the lake is absolutely fascinating. On the other hand, even if it’s a bit magical, I think I would have been afraid that the bear would come to see me closer. 🧡

Great video! We just did that hike a few days ago and got some great footage. I'm worried about posting it though because of the whole national park filming permit thing. Did you need to get that?
@TravelSzN
@TravelSzN 11 ай бұрын
I would recommend speaking with an attorney if you are concerned about that. To my understanding, it is ok to post national park pictures and video if you are simply posting your personal vacation footage from an iphone or simple hand-held device, without creating the video with the intent for commercial use. If your channel is monetized, do not vlog about/explain your monetization or earnings on content filmed in national parks. If you were visiting a national park with the intent for commercial filming, you would need to have a permit to film. This is what I understand from seeing other vloggers talk about it/handle their own lawsuits so I can't offer true legal advice for you.

@TravelSzN
@TravelSzN Жыл бұрын
Great question! When we visited, I enjoyed Iceberg Lake hike more because it was less crowded and the sky was clearer when we did the hike. If we did the Grinnell Glacier hike on a day with less wildfire smoke in the air/on a clear sunny day, I believe I may have enjoyed that hike more. Both are great hikes, but Grinnell Glacier hike has a little more variety when it comes to the viewpoints/features you'll see along the hike. Have a great time in Glacier NP! :)
