Would you recommend these, or the ASV Pros for a forward that occasionally blocks shots, but is usually more concerned with breakout skating and speed?

What's the difference between these and Ft6 standard ones? I've watched both reviews and there doesn't seem to be anything except the price??

The AER-TEC Thermoregulation System has more ventilation ports, thus offering more airflow than the FT6. It then uses compress-molded HD foam instead of an EVA foam in key areas like the calf guard, knee wing, and thigh guard. So this is a lighter yet more protective foam than the FT6. Just got a set and love them. One question though, i've skated with them about 3 times and the top part of the removable liner and the hanger loop is already fraying pretty badly and I've barely used them. Any help?

Seems common with CCM loops.

Hey guys any actual difference between the ft6 and ft4 pro shin pads?
@bardowndangles7533 Жыл бұрын
Can I cut the top flap thing off the ft4 pros don’t have thst
@ice.warehouse Жыл бұрын
It's actually adjustable and removable, so there is no need to cut it off. Brandon at IW Hockey

Kinda sucks that there's no removable liner
@ice.warehouse Жыл бұрын
The top portion of the knee is actually removable and then with the AER-TEC Suspension Mesh liner, you'll have incredibly fast drying times and it's treated with Polygiene for odor control. Brandon at IW Hockey

@@ice.warehouse Ah gotcha. I suppose the AER-TEC kind of substitutes the removable liner. I always loved having a removable liner in my shinnies
@ice.warehouse Жыл бұрын
Exactly! It substitutes having a removable liner so I would recommend spraying your shin guards down with a gear spray to keep them in top condition and then you can still wash the top portion! Also, wearing a base layer really helps with odor control! Brandon at IW Hockey

I guess the D30 gimmick is finally over 😅
@ice.warehouse Жыл бұрын
D3O is used in the Tacks protective line and is still around. While it may seem like a gimmick, D30 is actually a highly-protective foam and used in many other industries including motorcycle protective gear.

@@ice.warehouse why would t they include it in FT line anymore? It’s still too dollar premium but leaving out the best protection? Weird

Doesnt appear any different from FT4 pro shinpads other than a worse color scheme….

The entire JetSpeed protective line has that same core JetSpeed DNA of lightweight exposed foams and mobile construction but now has the new AER-TEC Thermoregulation System that delivers the very best breathability and air circulation to date. Brandon at IW Hockey
