I love that Iva Davies shares the vocals with Michael - Iva wrote all the songs and can play loads of instruments. I love Icehouse so much and Michael Paynter is a great addition to the band. Love his vocals. He sings a lot of the women's parts in songs - he's got a great range.

Icehouse is an Aussie band that had quite a few hits in the 80-90's and Michael Paynter (with the killer vocals) has been featuring on stage with them lately. Interestingly, the dude playing the soprano sax is the original singer/songwriter/band leader Ivor Davies who obviously loves this young talent singing his songs.

Iva (not Ivor) was playing an Oboe, not a Soprano Saxophone. They are both different instruments, with the Oboe being even more difficult to play properly.

I saw him sing with Icehouse live at the Big Red Bash in the Simpson Desert last year and you could feel the shudder go through the entire crowd. I still get tingles hearing this 💕

Saw this live in Bendigo Australia on the 19th January in a sold out show. Last saw them live In 1984 when I was 23. They were just as damn good recently as they were in 84. Made me feel young again, so good!!

the first time I heard him I was on the dining room of my home, while the Icehouse 40 years aniversary was playing on the living room, I just couldn't help it and started to cry, and of course went to watch him playing.. he called me like a siren's song..

The man on the obo Iva Davies is the lead singer of Icehouse and the original singer of that track. Michael Paynter is a phenomenal singer. Also: very hot hahaha

Iva Davies is a better singer, the original voice of Icehouse. Listen to the original song Man of Colours, the video with the artist painting at the canvass which was sung by Iva. The artist in the video was Iva's father; Neville Davies. Iva has a more passionate voice, he puts more feeling into this song. Michael might be good at Opera.
