Combined the Fimmvörðuháls and Laugavegur Trails in July of 2021!

Toller Film...war grade auch in Landmannalaugar auf dem bunten Brennisteinsalda Vulkan u dem riesigen Obsidianlavafeld ...unfassbar..wie in einer anderen Welt.....glaub ist schon die geilste Ecke in Island....

@@Travel_Stache Ich bin den selben Weg gelaufen, auch northbound, aber dann noch weiter auf dem Hellimansleid, kurz nach Dir, Start am 28. 7. 2021

@@Travel_Stache Ich bin nur bis Rjupnavellir gelaufen, also 3 Etappen. Relativ flach, teils weite Ebenen, sehr ruhig/einsam (starker Kontrast zu Landmannalaugar). An den ersten beiden Tagen bin ich unterwegs keinem einzigen Wanderer begegnet. In der zweiten Nacht war ich der einzige Gast am Camping. Ein sehr schöner Abschluss. - Ein paar Photos findest Du auf meiner Seite, such nach "An Alien on the JMT" und dann den letzten Blogeintrag.

Great hike but your preparation seemed very amateur. Compass, gps? You seemed not to know how far things were at the beginning. Also did you not take good gloves etc?

yeah it was my first time doing a camping trip. mistakes were made that I havent done again. You live and you learn

Great video. Most people hike in opposite direction, would you recommend northbound or southbound?

Thanks! I did it the 'opposite' way on purpose because I wanted to save the best for last. Also because you don't hike in the same direction as most people so you just see them once and they're gone
