ICELAND RING ROAD: HOF TO HOFN - Diamond Beach, Fláajökull via Haukafell, Vestrahorn at Stokksnes

In the summer of 2022, we headed out on an 821 mile circumnavigation of Iceland. Our original plan was to travel in 2020 but COVID19 postponed our adventure.
This video covers our travel Hof to Hofn. Along the way we stopped at Fláajökull Glocier at Haukafell, Diamond Beach and Vestrahorn at Stokksnes.
Our goal is capture fun moments of past adventures so that we can look back and reminisce about our experiences together. So many special moments get filed away in memory only to fade over time. We hope that you find your own special moments.
We are two transplants from east of the Rockies who love to go on adventures exploring beautiful vistas and hidden gems.

Wow, beautiful! My wife and I are coming to Iceland in July, and have a reservation for the little guesthouse and cafe near the Viking village at Vestrahorn. Saw you had to use a card to get on to the road. Haven’t learned about that yet. Could you explain the card for me? Thanks!

Thanks! You can buy the entrance card at the Viking Cafe that is next to the gate. Once you get the card, you will scan it by the gate card reader. Happy traveling! D

Dave & Andrea excellent Icelandic video series. I just watched your videos that you have released so far in Iceland. Great commentary and footage during the videos. Down to earth with excellent observational points. I'm in the process of planning our ring round drive planned for the summer of 2024. These videos are the type that I look for while working in the planning stage. Looking forward for the reminder of your videos on your incredible Icelandic adventure. Love your videos We live in Keflavik for three years I got to take a helicopter ride to Hofn one day and we flew low and slow over diamond beach.
