I was impressed! It wasn't that easy sometimes, but for the most part there was at least a few vegan options everywhere we went! The vegan restaurants are great and the grocery stores have lots of vegan options. I loved pastries too! It was nice to see how popular plant-based eating is there

There's a show on PBS called Amazing Hotels and they just did an episode on a hotel in Iceland called the ION Adventure Hotel. It's built on the side of a dormant volcano. I think you'd find it pretty interesting, especially since you were just in the neighborhood (kinda!)

the dates with licorice powder on them is from a Swedish brand. They also have other dates. like Salted Caramel Peanuts (taste like Snickers), Raspberry and Licorice, Sweet Peach, Sour Coke, Tropical Fruits. They are very popular here in Sweden :)

Loved this vlog! I spent a week in Iceland back in 2010 on my way home to New Jersey after spending a year working as an au pair in Denmark. I couchsurfed and met the nicest Icelandic people. I got to go to a local swimming pool which was an amazing experience. Folks of all ages having a nice soak in the geothermal pools. It was very inexpensive too, which is rare for Iceland.

Ahh Iceland! Brings back memories when we went with our family and I was pregnant with my firstborn, was over 4 years ago! So many good memories and spots visited, it was much more icey and snowy when we went, it was November ! And the blue lagoon was an awesome memory we had a lovely sunset while being in the water 🥰 your vlog was so cozy and homey how cool you have family there you got to visit ! Makes me want to go back soon ! ❤

Ooh I'm so early! Totally agree on the Blue Lagoon being relaxing - I went in December (Christmas Eve) and it was way more packed and hard to see because of a lingering blizzard😅 But in all my travels, definitely one of the most precious places I've ever been. Ahh if you go to Reykjavik again, you should try Plantan Kaffihús - the coffee was amazing (to my now Parisian standards) and to die for vegan rolls. Glad to see you've had a good time!!

Thanks Angela! I googed some places and used the Happy Cow app (so good when traveling) and found lots of options. Also most restaurants have some vegan options or a way to make a dish vegan, so that was nice. Also the grocery stores have vegan stuff too. It's not always easy, but for the most part it was a very vegan friendly place 😊😊
