Sparkling oatmeal...gotta love it. :D. You mentioned the lack of trees. Back in the day Iceland was our destination base in the Air Force should a war break out with the former USSR during the cold war (early 80's) We got a briefing on Iceland and one of the questions a single troop asked was about Icelandic women. We were told "There is a woman behind every tree in Iceland". Now I see what the joke was.

Hi Nice vlog and fun but the strangest thing to perches in Iceland is water :) and I bet there was some stream or river near by where you were with the sparkling water and the water in the rivers is much better and fresher than Bottled water. ~ OneLove ~ JBB

Good question. I have no idea what the cost of living is but its got to be high. Just getting groceries is expensive. For sure one of the pricier destinations but worth saving for sure. Its crazy amazing and I really think you two would love it. -Ash

My understanding is that it is advised to stay in camp sited. We stayed in 3 different ones along the ring road. When we were far away from anything then we were able to find pull outs to camp at. -Ash

At counter 6:11-6:14 we see the mountain Drápuhlíðarfjall, where an attempt was made to mine gold around 1939, but soon halted because of the war and also because the density of gold wasn’t enough and too inconsistent. The mountain is now protected so it is prohibited to take stones from there. The stones were too popular for making fireplaces etc. Not far away is the town Stykkishólmur at the shore. We just got a few new items like our coats in Los Angeles because we didn't have anything for the cold weather. We do carry everything so if we get something new the rule is always that we have to get rid of something old. Other wise it wouldn't fit.;) -Ash

Buying water in Iceland is the biggest waste of money! We have the cleanest water in the world and you just drink it from the tap or the nearest stream... No Icelander ever buys bottled water (unless they want sparkling water obviously)
