With the one sided forms (Nudura One I assume) you did an EcoFinish. Can you do plaster or PebbleTec directly on the concrete WITHOUT a Basecrete waterproofing layer?

You ever do something like this in northern areas that get below freezing? Wondering if this would work in Edmonton Canada where we have cold winter. I have an ICF basement that I did for my house but obviously that is a temperature controlled space.

All the time, you will need to winterize if it’s not heated but all pretty straight forward

Have you guys given up on homebuilding for pools? Seems like every post is pool related. Will you ever do icf house training or does pools training carry over? We have emailed the website multiple times and get no answers.

That’s weird, what email are you using??? Our icfguru site had issues with the contact form but not the direct email address…. But if you use [e-mail] I guarantee you a prompt response…. And yes we train on all aspects of icf, pools are a level up a N d that’s why our content is largely focused on them but we routinely sell full house build packages and support our builders better than anyone!

How do you bond free floating steel in a pool? And the poke out of the surface, ouch!

@@all3pools I would think you would bond it the same as when you use fiberglass rebar. Poke out should not be a problem if the concrete is vibra screeded.

@@all3pools Not sure what that means?? Helix is an engineered twisted micro rebar that allows a person to substantially reduce or even eliminate rebar, awesome stuff for any ICF project works in slabs as well

He's referring to pool ICF where you have to run bonding wire to rebar. So since Helix is a replacement for rebar his reply makes sense...

@@mojo1169vj Helix isnt always a complete replacement for rebar, in terms of stabilizing a slab for crack control for example and seismic strength in unstable regions was my thoughts , it works in concert with rebar so it wouldnt replace bonding needs
