The scenery is beautiful while the lament is a tradgey of a love that was not meant to be! I can personally relate as I know many can. Some things don't seem ant better now than back then. Lovely melancholy tune! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌹👍❤️🖤💛🎭🎼🎵👍🎶

A little remark. You might translate "graf" as "earl" rather a count, cause it more reflects the historical meaning of the title. Thank you for your proper job
@dr.ludwig4 жыл бұрын
Ah thanks for the correction!
@Osvath974 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not. Earl is a distinctively English/British version of the title. "Graf" is almost always translated as Count since Count is the name of the title in all cases but the British ones.
@sargonofakkad1555 Жыл бұрын
Handelt es sich um einen Engländer wird er "earl" genannt. Ein europäischer Graf vom Festland wird "count" genannt.

This ancient folk tune comes from Alsace and was often sung to me as a child by my grandparents. "And when he came to the monastery, he knocked loudly on the door And demanded the youngest nun, who had just arrived" "None has arrived We give none out So I will set fire to the monastery the beautiful house of God" Diese uralte Volksweise stammt aus dem Elsass und wurde mir als Kind oft von meinen Großeltern vorgesungen. "Und als er an das Kloster kam, klopft er laut an die Tür Und verlangt die jüngste Nonne, die erst gekommen wär" "Es ist keine angekommen wir geben keine heraus So will Ich das Kloster anzünden das schöne Gotteshaus"

@@SwordsMaster7. Yes, my friend, the German poet Goethe wrote it down in this version in Alsace in 1711, and this is how my grandparents sang it to me as a lullaby when I was a child.

Uhm, Medieval song in Modern German?
@SwordsMaster7. Жыл бұрын
It's from the 15th century, so it wouldn't be too different. English has changed a lot more over the years than German. An example of this would be Martin Luther's translation of the bible, it's still very much readable. (Or at least, according to someone who knows a bit more German than me, I don't speak it all that well yet.)

The renaissance is a period within the Middle Ages as well. The (early) modern era is set to the beginning of the 16th century.
