Ichigo didn’t “choose” his zanpaukto forms. He didn’t design or customize the twin blades I mean. Read the chapter THE BLADE IS ME, yhwach reveals the true form of the zanpakuto to be the twin blades and Ichigo thinks to himself how each blade represents a different source of his power

Technically all Quincys originate from the Soul King, since the Soul King was also part Quincy suggesting that the Quincy’s were around long before Yhwach was. Yet for some reason, when a Quincy dies their soul gets absorbed into Yhwach.

Bleach ending was rushed, there’s still many unclear plotholes left to tackle but Kubo decided to somehow end the series the way he wanted it despite of the few years given to him by Shonen Jump to wrap up. Bleach Universe was too vast just be summarized during TYBW arc. Yet other fans are still complaining about the final arc.
