White over 150 episodes ago: "I told you, I'm Zangetsu" 💀 The look, plus same VA of Old Man Zangetsu, it was there, but the animators made a voluntary error in this part. In the flashbacks of episodes 6-7 they drew Yhwach a 1000 years ago like he's now in order to not spoil this reveal, but then they fixed his appearance in the BD version.

The WILDEST thing about the blade is me aside from the reveal and the top tier emotions is how Aizen was fucking right again. When he fought Dangai Ichigo he mentioned how the blades were rising into their hands and how, “perhaps this is the true form of the Zanpakto” Ichigo through reforging and Aizen through the Hōgyoku are now the only 2 characters we know of that have reached this “final” state of zanpakto where “the blade is me”. Hence why their swords disappeared but they can summon them at any time The blade is me is in my opinion, one of the best moments. It really brought everything closer from the beginning.

The blade is me is definetely the best line in all of Bleach and one of the best lines in all of anime. Just beautiful storytelling and forshadowing. Everything came togheter so fucking good man. We had all the answers in front of us and we just didnt know how to look at them. Ever since Ichigo first trained with Urahara and came back as a hollowfied Soul Reaper we were shown the true nature of his powers

Yeah, its always been talked about how the Zanpaktou is simultaneously a separate soul yet also your own soul. The Asauchi is merely an empty container for your own souls inner powers to manifest in the real world. It IS you, the power of your own soul given a vessel to influence the real world.

@@Elzzaw that not true his hollow did not want to take him over, he wanted to protect him. It's why he aways come to his rescue when he was about to die. Case in point: when he protect ichigo withe the mask with kenpachi, or against ulquiorra. It is what the horse methopher is meant to represent. Or why he was ok with final getsuga tenshou. And he had are a lot of moment where he counld have taken over ichigo's body but whenever he does he gave it back.

This is (sadly) very likely to be a coincidence, the misconception having been spread by the running gag in Bleach Abridged. This detail is absent from the manga, and Kubo, by his own admission, had next to no involvement in the anime at the time especially at the time (Klub Outside Q&A 36), making it very unlikely that he intentionally gave instruction to the anime team to add that detail in particular.

here is a fun fact if you look back at the Mugetsu Form from his fight against Aizen Long Black Hair, Red Hairs, Wrapped in Schatten... the Mugetsu Slash being all Schatten again... That was the Maximum amount of Qunicy Powers he could draw... that was Yhwach's power

The method of creating a foothold in the air as explained to Ichigo by Zangetsu in volume 8 is the Quincy method, not the Soul reaper method. As the story goes, a fan noticed the play on words behind the name and compiled it into a blog, and at a signing Kubo-sensei told him, “I saw your blog, how did you notice it?" In Japanese, 1 is Ichi, 5 is Go, and 15 is “Quince” when converted to Spanish. (Pronunciations are different.) Spanish is used by Hollow and Arrancar. The name Karin means “Chinese quince” in English and the scientific name means “false quince”. English is used by Fullbringer. There is no hidden meaning behind the name Yuzu without powers.

Zangetsu as Yhwach is so in your face and obvious that it doesn’t feel true. Kubo has done a great job of hiding stuff like Aiken’s true identity, Gin’s purpose, Ichigo’s birth etc that anything obvious seems like bait.

I think what you're talking about with the OST is that it's not overwhelming the story, it's adding to it, when it's needed for pivotal and emotional scenes it lifts the already stellar acting and writing to new levels and is further helping the gorgeous visuals.
