To me, this is still the best episode of TYBW so far. A glimpse of the Original Gotei vs Lichtreich (anime original), the death of Yamamoto, the destruction of the Soul Society, Ichigo finally arrives, Byakuya's "last" words, PROTECT THE SOUL SOCIETY KUROSAKI ICHIGO, the fight against Yhwach (expanded), plot twist reveal about his mother, annihilated, Aizen unironically saving the Soul Society (never stop trolling), my son born in the dark, plus a special anime ending. They went pretty hard with this one! PS: your "quincy reaction" made me fall off my chair 😂😂😂

What we saw the the beginning was the clash between Quincies and the older captains, the war that took place in the past. What happened in the end as we saw is during the battle, Chōjirō managed to stab Yhwach from behind after hiding in the pile of corpses, thereby granting Yamamoto an opening to attack Yhwach with his Bankai. Also in that old captain's line up we see, we see Yamamoto yes as the head captain but among the present captains we also see Unohana, she is the goat and super old (younger than old man Yama) and powerful They really forgot budget being a thing in the TYBW arc didnt they, everything is so refined and fantastic oof One of Quincy's weaknesses are hollows, I wonder what would have happened if he used hollowfication in that fight there Schatten Bereich is the city in the shadows of Seireitei which was created after the first Quincy war and were most of the Quincy are located. They use the term Wandenreich which literally translates to a walled empire or invisible empire which makes sense since its located in the shadows of the Seireitei, so its hidden in plain sight Anyway moral of the story, never underestimate Aizen, he can do shit to you even if he is all tied up and restrained, he is HIM

So the OST for Part 1 is on streaming, or at least Apple Music, I've rocked that quite a few times since I saw it was available Though good luck figuring what track is which, most have just weird names that are non descriptive. A few of the returning tracks like Nothing can be Explained keep that name though, the TYBW version of that is absolute fire

Little spoiler about why thei can’t steal Ichigo’s BanKai. And no this Quinci thing was never the reason. The reason is cause his Bankai is merged with his Hollow powers, it was never cause this Quinci thing. Hollow is like poison for Quinci that’s why thei can’t stole it, Quilge absorbet Ajot and gain boost for power and durabilty, but it was slowly killing and weakening him, that’s why Ichigo overpowered him so quickly after few minutes.

He was only letting Ichigo use a tiny fragment of his true power, until Ichigo was in real danger and he unlocked some of that power for the fight.

Ichigo isn't LITERALLY a son of Yhwach, but he is KIND OF his "son". First of all, Yhwach considers ALL Quincy to be his children cause he is the progenitor of their entire race. However, every once in a while a SPECIAL kind of Quincy is born, one who's power resembles that of Yhwach himself. Think of it like a special gene that resufaces every several generations. Ichigo is KINDA special in that way. You will see why pretty soon, tho you probably already have some idea about it. Besides that, Yhwach considers himself to be a son of the Soul King (not without reason), who is supposed to be a perfect being, a hybrid of all races, while Ichigo himself is also a perfect hybrid. This makes Ichigo also KINDA related to Yhwach more than your average Quincy would be. So, basically, Ichigo shares MULTIPLE rather close connections with Yhwach, which in turn makes Yhwach consider him to be akin to a family member, his son even. That doesn't mean he cares for Ichigo all that much. You've already seen how he treats the rest of his "children". No, his own goals are WAY above on his priority list compared to his somewhat conflicted feelings.
