Where did you hear that? Grimmjow and Sukuna are noting alike except having the same voice actor. Grimmjow is sorta an underdog character among the Arrancar who is in a weird position of being middle of the pack so hes stronger than some but gets absolutely dominated by others. He really cares about his comrades too. Sukuna is a heartless monster who has always been on the top of the food chain and cares nothing for others. Only doing whatever he feels like.

The reason for the restrictions can be seen with Ichigo. His wild spiritual power has affected literally everyone around him. Making half his classmates able to see spirits and even allowing a few of them to unlock their own powers. Captains and Lieutenants would have similar effects if around humans for too long. Or if left unchecked itd be like when Yami and Ulquorria showed up with people just collapsing and paralyzed the second they emitted any pressure around them. So they were limited to 20 percent. Which is a shame because it basically got Renji, Toshiro and Rangiku wrecked. But I assume they werent expecting an attack so suddenly.

Its a bit more complicated than that. Because of how Ichigos powers fluctuated especially early on he could go from seated level to Captain level in an instant. Which is basically what got Ikakku. He was mostly playing around with him to get a good fight out of it but at the same time he NEVER wouldve used his Bankai in the Soul Society so him getting 100 percent "serious" never wouldve happened. He explained pretty clearly that he didnt want anyone to know he can use Bankai since he be hounded for promotion forever when he is happy being 3rd seat in Squad 11. So even if Ichigo were to have literally killed him he wouldnt have used Bankai. He only did it here because no one was paying attention and he was desperate. In Soul Society with thousands of Soul Reapers and a dozen Captains in the general vicinity you cant release a Bankai with no one noticing.

We know that most Bankais reflect their users to some extend, including sometimes being an evolved version of Shikai powers, which could mean that he may have some unknown power for his Bankai we haven't seen yet - because it's more akin to original Renji's Bankai. With how lucky Ikkaku is and how he continues to have those tricks to heal up or reuse his Shikai as different weapons - his properly trained bankai could actually have something fun. Crossing my fingers we see it in Hellverse tbh.

Great video. Bleach is one of the OG big ones and will always be a top anime in my books. I also find the filler arcs and movies to be very good and they have moments that made me cry. I know fillers are fillers and not many react to them, BUT i would recommend watching The Zanpakuto Arc even if it is a filler. That Arc made me so emotional.

It's simple: Espadas are ranked 1-10 in order of the strongest. Every other Arrancar is numbered according to their birth/creation. If a regular Arrancar gets strong enough to become an espada, they get promoted and the Espada they replaced gets demoted. If an Arrancar becomes strong enough to replace number 10, they get promoted to number 10. And the former espada 10 gets kicked out of the Espada ranks and joins a separate group called the privaron espada (former espada).

the best part is: the best translation for the word bankai, written the way it is in kanji, means "the liberation of all I am", Ikkaku describes hoozukimaru as lazy and hard to be put in to work, but the bankai is so fragile because Ikkaku doesn't understand that hoozukimaru is HIM, it is his inner self (true self if you wanna enter psychoanalysis field) Ikkaku has a bankai, is a strong fighter but difficults his own fights for fun, he just want fun with no responsibility, something that can be label as... lazy and hard to put to work

The reason why Yumichika didn't interfere is because him and Ikkaku are from squad 11, the squad that specializes and prides itself on physical combat and are full of brutes. There's an unspoken rule that squad 11 members are to not interfere with other member's fights out of respect for the pride of the one fighting uness it's mutually agreed upon.

Yes, people can feel the effects of spirits batteling it out! This has been established early in the series. If you remember in the very first episode, the hollow chasing that spirit girl is causing havoc in the city and even the news reported on it. People just cannot see the cause. As to how humans react to stuff like sudden heatwaves or explosions, the series actually never focuses on it iirc. Pretty sure we can just assume they blame either terrorist attacks or natural disasters.

Ikkaku was out here making his opponent release using just his sealed sword, Renji and Toshiro out here in Bankai, effectively negating the power loss of their limiter as if they were using shikai, and getting throttled by their opponents in base xD

Why would bankai even take off a limiter that’s already placed on them that doesn’t make sense?

The numbering is pretty smart actually if you’re strong enough to be an espada you get a number on your body. Below 10 don’t have numbers written on them if you get demoted from the espada then you gain the original number you were born with. This way you can change the espada ranks with the ones who become strong and other arrancars can take numbers. So either way you will always have a 1 through 10 no matter what.

When an arrancar goes into resurreccion/ release form that’s basically their equivalent to bankai, not everyone in to soul society was alive in the beginning I’m pretty sure most characters were born in the soul society world so it’s different for them Ikkaku didn’t have a life before then he was born in the soul society like byakuya, yoruichi, aizen, they have clans and head family’s, royalty, they have a hierarchy like the living world because they have people born there

He may have known him only by his surname Madaram, especially if Ikkaku used only his surname within the Seireitei. In a militaristic organization like that, it's not unlikely, and Ikkaku might not have shared his given name except with those he knew well and trusted. Actually, in a sense the word "Espadas" does mean "spades".
