Training arcs in Bleach is very different to what you usually get in other animes. Bleach gives little importance to physical training. Mental training is the key here. That means characters get strong based on how much they progress as a person.

Actually, Ichigo *does* learn some new ways to fight that he adopts after every encounter with his hollow, he just doesn't adopt all of it. His hollow was the one who taught him the black getsuga and, in this episode, he's the first one to fire a getsuga at point blank; which Ichigo then does for the first time in the next fight with Grimmjaw. On a more basic level, the hollow was also the first to swing around Zangetsu by the chain/bandage and then Ichigo does it after first noticing his hollow doing it.

So the main reason Soul Reapers survive such injuries is they have no body (why they need a Gigai in the human world) so the body we see is a manifestation of the soul. Damage to it is damage to the soul, which is why attacks can still be fatal. The stronger the soul the more punishment they can take hence no names always dying but Captain to Lieutenant level characters shrugging off being cut up and impaled.

@@ajizel13 Foreshadowing is weird topic because what make it really good or bad depends on the entire situation instead of just one moment. This is why I said it was good writing instead of good Foreshadowing because the major event that this scene sets up never really happened, white inchgo only technically showed up again right before the final fight against Aizen but then he disappear into another character in the same chapter. Inchgo going berserk as a hollow was also not White inchgo showing up again in a important moment and that trend stay true for the rest of the story. Honestly, white inchgo only showed up again in the zanpukto filler arc that most people skipped over but at that point calling that foreshadowing is a big stretch. This was amazing setup episode for white inchgo to show up again but he never really showed up again and that makes this bad foreshadowing. There are more reasons but those would probably take longer to explain.

I love Kariya's words to Ichigo. Coz its all true. For like every anime has a stronger villain the longer u get into the anime. Once a hero defeats one enemy a stronger will take its place and after that one another one comes. Like in Digimon, Yugioh, SAO, Fairy tail and so many other series villains even in DC and Marvel everytime the hero defeat their first villain a 2nd one will appear and that one is much stronger than the other one. Its how battle works. And its real too. You might be a soldier that fought the ww1 and you think that was intense then u come to ww2 and that one is even more intense like the Nukes and Atomic bombs. How battle works is once one enemy is gone another enemy will appear its never ending circle.

Momo was about to die but captain of squad 4 Unahana was there to heal her and Captain Hitsugaya. Unahana possess an extremely skilled healing ability even the fetal wound can be healed but she has to heal them fast or they will die. Momo was super lucky Unahana appeared after Aizen fought Toshiro. Also never blame Momo for what she did she has nothing to do with it. She was manipulated, hypnotised and had no idea what she was doing she did what Aizen made her to do. That the power of his Zanpakuto. Complete Hypnosis. Momo was doom from the start. She now is awake and is not in Aizen's hypnosis anymore but she still believe he's innocent and for a good reason but she doesnt understand that and its up to Toshiro to help her to see the truth. So yeah she was useless in the few episodes but it was never her fault. And she is not the only one to be hypnotized by Aizen mostly anyone in the soul sociaty had been tricked and betrayed and fooled from the start so Momo not the only one to be blamed.
