Excellent video and thanks for going through all of the features. Although it would have been nice to hear more of the SSB reception with you tuning around and even plugging in a nice external speaker. After all, radio contacts is what it's all about. You did plenty of CW and beacon stuff. Thanks for the video!

Can you rx on a frequency while transmitting on the same frequency? I mean radio has all the knowledge on transmitted signal and could do mathematical difference between rx and tx signals to just get "clean" outside rx. If receiver won't get overloaded or something like that. The goal: to hear when someone else transmits while you also transmit... Full duplex.

I have a technical question since the radio is made in 2 parts and icom tells that for remote operation you need use rsba1 that it's ok but for top price radio not for me , do you think you can set up a vpn and bring the head of radio with you and use it far away ? To be honest I was expecting something like that for that price 😕

Great review. It's a good approximation of the new ICOM, and like VK I would have liked to see more RX testing but in CW with a congested band (of course that doesn't always happen). I have a 7610 but I think I'll wait for the new 78xx line. The 7760 is excellent but at the moment it doesn't give me much difference with the 7610 since I have a power amplifier and until it is proven that the RX is better than the 7610 it is not an option for me. Thanks for the impeccable review.

You will more than likely need test equipment to tell the difference between the receivers. Waiting for those Rob to do his review for his Sherwood Report. I don't put much thought into it but it's always funny because the human ears can only process so much. The 7610 has the same features in the 7760 that are important to me. Diversity Receive and Adaptive Predistortion.
@cx5fk3 ай бұрын
@@kc8tyk86 Totally agree. But I always look forward to Sherwood's tests. Although that is not the whole story. The receiver can be very good, in fact there are already very good receivers. The devil is in the details. How much can it fight against the arid DSP NB NR etc and Sherwood does not question that in its list although it does talk about it in its in-depth reviews under contest conditions. But he lives in the country, I live in the city. The 7610 may not be the best receiver but it fights noise like a demon. It is very true what you say about the human ear is like that. 73 ED.
