I own one of these little beauty’s! I love its practicality , and original incredible packaging. I understand the owners needs differ from mine, as you have ended up engineering out the boot/ trunk space and load lugging ability with your installation. I have had everything in mine from Christmas trees to four adults and two dogs! It regularly goes grocery shopping and swallows as much provisions as my other vehicles do. Our emissions laws are more relaxed here in the U.K. I love the character of my cars original drivetrain, regularly driving it flat out at 60mph. Fiat and later Autobianchi made 327000 Giardiniera between 1960 and 1977and a lot survive. This conversion gives survivors a future. Mine is also a 1966 and it does have a courtesy switchable lamp in the rear view mirror as standard. These models bring so much joy to drivers, passengers and passers by!

Please take this as a very positive response. This is literally the best icon / conversion you have , in reality it my favorite any way. I love this car and would buy it today if it was for sale !

Its cool when vehicles find a purpose. EVERY car or truck doesn't have to be a 500hp monster on the track. Different dynamics and different feels add to the fun. ICON must be such a great place to work. The variety and creativity must be fun to be a part of.

"Every car or truck doesn't have to be a 500 hp monster on the track" HERESY! =)
@cccpkingu Жыл бұрын
If you think about it, this is a lot more of a leap in power than any 500 hp truck is.

This is a thing of beauty! Being EV is so good for such a little town runaround and must make it a delight to drive. The interior is gorgeous, the epitome of cool and so different from any of the other of your cars I've seen.

Jonathan ! I've been a full time leather worker for fifty years and am still at it full time and am NOT looking for work ! I just wanted you to know that I love your programmes, couldn't possibly afford ANYTHING you produce and drove my wife on our Honeymoon from London to the South Of France in THE WORST Fiat 500 ever to have existed ! How we have remained married since is a miracle !

Love this one!!!! the suspension and detail work is amazing (as always). 120 mile range is really good for a car this size!
What an awesome business you have built. Very impressed with everything you have put out. Even though the vast majority of restoration/custom fab shops are highly reliant on a strong economy with people having surplus income, you sir have managed to build a clientele base that are so wealthy as to be utterly immune to economical ups and downs. A goal which all companies should try to achieve. What does it matter if you have the best (service/product/idea) if your clients dont have any money to spend? Its simple, convince the 1% they need what your peddling and you'll be set for life. Keep doing what your doing Mr. Ward. Maybe someday I'll be wealthy enough to come to you with a project of my own.

And that,folks, is the future! Expect to see retro styles, whimsical styles dominate vehicles in 50 years. Jonathan Ward is a visionary. YES

It's a super fancy golf cart. Going over the speed bumps at the beginning I had this feeling of being at the local country club heading out to the links for a round of golf. : )

I like it. Somebody below gave it a great name, Derelictric, and Icon should go with that on future electrification projects. If it truly goes 120 miles then that surely is pretty darned good.

My aesthetic OCD is in heaven, this energy gauge is something beautiful and the whole attention to detail is the next level, that's something unusual on the Ev modification market.
@Neojhun5 жыл бұрын
Love that style matching mechanical gauge. But I would of also used a H.U.D. onto Glass for the detailed EV Diagnostics. Because H.U.D. projection unit can be hidden out of sight. www.extremetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/BMW_111204_090_bmw.jpg

It's a 500 giardiniera, not a 600 giardinetta. Easy way to distinguish a 500 from a 600, when they retain their original "power"plant, is the 500 is aircooled twin cylinder, the 600 is a watercooled 4 banger. Yes, you screwed the pronunciation a little bit, but nevermind, it wasn't really that bad. Don't bash too much on the build quality or the performances of these vehicles, we were a poor country which just got out of a nasty war(like there has ever been a pleasant one) in which we were basically obliterated. The 500, practically, it was our Ford Model T. Anyway, a really nice, well thought, well executed , a seriously tasteful build. I really like it. Congrats from Italy!

When I was young it was not exceptional to get patients in the ER from FIAT 600 crashes. The steering axle crushed the sternum. People from the back seat flew like 30 meters. One deadly bug, the 600. Very deadly.
