Icon i150 Gold Concentrator for my Gold Processing Plant (Hard Rock Mining 2018)

Finally got around to setting up the Icon i150 gravity concentrator. I'm using this gold concentrator in my hard rock gold recovery plant as the final processor. The Icon i150 made by Falcon is a centrifugal concentrator that excels at fine gold recovery. This thing can catch tiny pieces of gold. This video shows the first run of this machine and it also shows the whole rock crushing process feeding the concentrator. Bit of a surprise ending for me as we found gold in rocks that I thought were not promising.

Great plant there ... And nice tiny shiny , you still have to start with a penny to make a dollar...lol I did notice at the top of the crusher some bits popping out maybe a mat over the top might help and catch them and some more fine dust. They are two very different pieces of equipment. I think you would need a very large shaker to take two tonnes per hour.

I've never liked the blue bowl. Probably a shaker table. Although a blue bowl would probably work well in this instance.

Dan: You are doing a good job but, I believe it is unfair that you and your family are claiming thousands of acres all around Canada for yourself and your family. What the hell is the Government of Canada doing when someone like you has the ability to go around with no concerns of financial costs and claim every damn place that the natural minerals and metals have been there for millions of years for every Canadian? Welcome to panning on the North Saskatchewan River! That's the biggest we get pretty much. When you've only got 3-4 flecks in your pan it takes a keen eye to see it. I know some folks hang on to their black sands and leach them to pick up all the microfine gold they can't pan out. Some have been surprised by how much gold they have found. Have you done any of that? That is a great setup. I am certainly looking forward to more videos! Thanks for allowing us to live vicariously through you!

Awesome set up. Like Mike W I noticed some rock being periodically spat out of the first hopper. Maybe a shroud off the inlet to second hopper with an inspection flap would be a good solution. It didn’t appear to be a lot that was being lost though so I guess it’s what you’re willing to accept as loss when it comes down to it in the end.

Yes, you're correct - I needed dishdry in the pan. For this video, I just panned out about half of it. Later I will smelt these cons or use a shaker table

hey dan im thinking isn't that ION suppose 2 crush that gold bearing material down to 40 mesh an below. does it act like a crusher itself. because I was wondering since you have the material going thru to 2 different crushers before it meets the ION I was thinking the gold is gonna probably gonna all small depending if there's a real chunky piece able to take a beating from both crushers then meeting the ION. so my real question is? aren't you anticipating smaller mesh gold anyway. thanks for the awesome vid!

The iCON does not crust at all. and the crushers are not grinder so they will typically leave gold particles their full size.
