Par2 I'm back at the house processing the concentrates from part 1. I'll be using a Gold Cube and drying the gold at the end. Make sure to check out both videos!

.0125 gm. Loss over, 30 pans is equivalent, 2 .375 gms. Or, $28.12 USD. YOU decide your losses.

In the realm of people doing this for a hobby or fun every spec counts. I think if I was doing this commercially I would accept a small amount of loss if it meant a substantial more amount of labor. Kind of a toss up.

Adding some Dream Matting to your Gold Cube and to your gutter sluice would improve the process considerably

Can't really justify replacing the mats when I'm not having an issue with losses. Can I ask why it would be a considerable improvement?
@SocietyofEnoch
@SocietyofEnoch 2 жыл бұрын
@@prospectingforadventure With the Dream Mats you can run more water through the Cube without risk of loss, so you can process material faster. The Dream Mats are also easier to clean out and the gold tends to primarily settle in the top mat, which means as the heavies build up you can just dump the top cube into your magnetics removal system, then put it back on and keep processing more material. In the end how much gold you recover is determined to a large degree by how much material you can process, as you well know, and the faster your process works the more material you can process in a given time frame.

This may not be a lot for your area for 2 1/2hrs collecting concentrates on the river.. but in many regions you would dance if you have this much in your pan after a whole hard shoveling weekend ;) I really like how you use the magnet (the amount of magnetics is just insane!) and different pans to reduce the loss to an absolute minimum. Great video, sure not just for beginners. Thanks a lot!

Yeah you would be surprised how many more experienced people don't know they should classify their con like this to recover more gold. Oh well, it's fun either way! Lol

Subscribed. I do this same method! I always heard that sluicing in a creek is throwing away gold so I prefer to run my sluice at home indoors where I can set up with precision in regards to level angle and water flow. On the creek are classified down to 1/4 or 1/8 into my Garrett super sluice pan. I quickly work that pan down to the two riffles and dump them in a bucket. I take all of that home to process further. This not only allows me to bring home more cons in less time, but also gives me some fun at home on rainy days!
@prospectingforadventure
@prospectingforadventure 2 жыл бұрын
Exactly, you nailed it! Can't go wrong with that method unless you have time to run volume through a sluice. Sometimes loosing a little gold nets you more in the end. You might loose a little sluicing, but that's okay if you're running more material than you can pan. You'll make up for it while processing more material.

You're a nice guy so I wanna share a secret with ya. After 50 years of doing it, so here goes. You know mother nature likes to sort gold out in the rivers along the inside bend, of course you do. It's down hill and if it was a 360 degree corkscrew it would be all too easy, so think about that for just a second, okay? Now comes the good part, if it was a double corkscrewed with riffled sections it would be even better. Now, there's a flexible tubing that does that, but not any tubing works, nope. The tubing is corrugated, but only one type of corrugated tubing works. It's free too, and you need three 10 inch pieces or 30 inches to catch everything. All your cons you show here takes about ten minutes to process, but you'll have to build it yourself. I'm too old, but I gave one to Jeff Williams. So anyway. DEF tubing, it is the spout that comes with diesel exhaust fluid. See folk fill up on DEF at the auto parts store, most use a funnel and throw away the "click tubing". You can't hardly go past the barrel in front of the store without seeing one thrown away. I ask the store to save them for a few buck sometimes. You need 3, and you cut off the screw cap cleanly and connect them together with a short pieces of clear vinyl hose. Build a stand with 8 inch diameter to set it on so you can remove the tubing sections to empty you gold out. the stand must support a large funnel at the top. and you need a 600 GPH pump, to flow into the funnel. Set your slope at about 8-10 degrees on a stand that includes a funnel at the top, pump water into the funnel and scoop in the cons. it's fast, it won't let you down, it catches everything. If you build it right you can empty a gallon of con through it in 20 minutes, retrieve up to 1/2 teaspoon off gold between clean outs. No more. To clean it, carefully separate the 3 tubes it a gold pan full of water, plug one end of a section with a finger, lower it in water to fill it. plug the opposite end & shake the gold to the bottom, empty it over a gold pan, repeat until they're all clean. Now that some clean gold. Cheers.

1'st off, good content. 2'nd factor of fine gold prospecting, if your not wet classifying,you are losing gold. Get a classifier, or make one, that has contact with the water in your catch pan. 3'rdly, run materials of the same size for every sub- clean-up.
