I am absolutely CRAZY about this truck. I've seen it under construction in other videos but it definitely came out better than expected. Awesome, awesome work John. Just truly genius. Hopefully I can get you to build me something sick some day.

Every time I think the last ICON build can’t be out done, you do it Johnathan. This truck is amazing!!! The only thing wrong with this video is we didn’t get to hear that Cummings beast roar, or see the truck in action. I would die to have a truck like that!

Ahh, a man can dream. Love the idea of giving these old trucks new life with modern parts. Like it just rolled off the assembly line in this day and age. Also loving what Legacy is doing with the even older Power Wagons. Very, very cool.
@varun0093 жыл бұрын
Lucky Americans... I live in India where if someone were to import a 78 chevy c10, it would sell for tens of thousands of dollars. Closest I've gotten to a legacy power wagon is a Nissan reproduction of the m37 called the 4w73. Cost me $10k running and detailed with 40 inch all terrains on 17 inch steelies. The fact that you can get an old American full size pickup in ANY condition for under a thousand excites me just faster than the depression of knowing I can't get one. Im not even short on cash. I already have 5 custom 4x4s. For my sake, buy an old truck use it for work and upgrade it. I would love to see a video on that. And I'm holding you to this. Acknowledge your privilege in this case and do what I and the millions of non-American overlanders and gear heads only wish we could.

Last year I sold my 2010 Ram 3500 Cummins mega cab to my business partner. A couple of days ago I asked him if he knew about Powerwagons and he said he loved them. THEN I told him about ICON and just sent him this video. FYI, my first Dodge truck was a 1998 Cummins 3/4 ton that I took to Banks to add anything that would bolt, tack, screw or glue onto that truck: chip, added boost, gauge stack on the A-pillar, exhaust brake, etc.. Dodge ended up cancelling my warranty. The extra boost would blow off the turbo tube constantly as the stock clamps couldn’t handle the extra pressure. I’d take it to a dealer to reinstall the tube and often I wouldn’t get to the freeway to go home before it had blown off again.

Amazing. The Icon is a work of art....and an under rated 80's metal band! I'm a huge fan of the sweptline power wagons and I own a rust bucket, '68 crew cab. The Icon track should be narrower though, with the tires under the truck, like the drawing but thats just me.

No excuses now Jonathan. You have to do a defender 90 now. Powder coated brown and black. that would be sick. I am trying to find a defender now. I do like the FJ40 2 door you come up with. hard top all black one. Just with manual gear box. Yes expensive but I know why. This day and age. Everything is nasty expensive. Right now I am a spectator but when the money comes in... I will be calling. Ha ha.
