What a lovely and chill video! I just stumbled on your channel and instantly subscribed. Can I ask the artist of the piece next to your standing lamp? Reminds me a bit of Anni Albers but the colors are so punchy. My request (if you haven’t already done so) is a video on some of your favorite art pieces and decor in your house! ❤

Hello 👋 Happy you found my channel! And thank you so much! 😍❤️ It’s Evelina Kroon - the poster is from Wall of Art wallofart.com/products/arstider Ohhh, I’ve actually been wanting to do a video like that. Great idea, will put it in my notes for coming videos. 🫶

Lamp ladies unite! My fav lamps are Ikea 'Lykta', Louis Poulsen 'Unispot', Flos 'Taraxacum' cocoon pendant, Le Corbusier 'Marseille', Ikea 'Fado', all Wooj Design lamps, anything by Domus. I love that you're talking about vintage Ikea! Great video, would be cool to see a series of themes like this :)

Oooohhh! I had so many more lamps on my notes that I wanted to talk about, like the classic PH-lamp and Anna from Ateljé Lyktan - might need to do a follow up! But first - google all the lamps you mentioned 😍🛋️

I love your delivery. Slow, thoughtful and emotive. I would like to see you go to a thrift store and browse. That’s it. Just comment on the things you see. Plus, I’d like to see some exteriors of parks. ❤🇨🇦

Thank YOU for your lovely content ❤️ I love all your content, but your home decor videos are my favourite! H&M has a similar wall lamp but much cheaper (I guess the quality is not that good)...
@AlejandraCerda11 ай бұрын
Yay!!! Love to hear that! I’ve seen my decor videos get more attention which is super cool (never thought that when I started). ❤️Personally I boycott H&M because of their bad working conditions in the production line, but one can always find it second hand 🫶🥰

I love lamps! I've seen that chrome IKEA lamp sometimes for sale on Etsy in blue and silver,, but I didn't know it was vintage IKEA. Would you recommend it, quality-wise? I would love to hear more about your framed art. I really like that geometric print by the big lamp on the floor. Do you have any tips on where to source cool art? I sometimes look for prints on Ebay by artists like Albers, etc. but so far no great luck.
@AlejandraCerda11 ай бұрын
Same! It's called "Dakapo" if you wanna research it! I have never seen it in blue, but it sounds nice. The geometric print was gifted to me from Wall of Art! They have plenty of nice prints. I also recommend thrifting art in thrift stores, actually have a video about that.
@pessoasombra11 ай бұрын
@@AlejandraCerda Thanks, I'll seek out that video of yours :) apparently the blue iteration of the lamp I've seen is only inspired by Dakapo, but the design looks pretty much the same, so I just thought it was IKEA's too!

You made the lamp video! So good i watched it twice :) I was wondering about your curvy floor lamp, so I'm glad you told us about it. It's so cute and cozy. The combination of materials and colors is unique.

I have a couple Artemide fixtures. The Nessino 'Mushroom' is one of my favorites, in orange. The other cute fixture is the Eclisse. Table and floor lamps are so, so fun! 🙂

I appreciate your videos very much and they are very enjoyable. I've noticed in Scandi home design videos that many times a hanging lamp will be hung at eye level around a seating area in a living room. I would think this would interfere with the line-of-sight. Do you know what I am referring to?
@AlejandraCerda11 ай бұрын
Yes! We usually hang the lamp above the dining table, I think we try to hang it so it won’t cover the person sitting in front of you, but be just above. I don’t know if there’s a specific reason to why, the only thing I can think of is that compared to warmer countries ceiling lamps are usually combined with a fan - which we never have in Scandinavia because we haven’t needed to (but who knows with climate change). And if you don’t need the fan/lamp-combo I assume that it creates more or a mood to have a light focused on the seating area. Don’t know if that answered your question… interesting observation!

@ no thank you tbh I’m currently in the process of transforming my new flat into something liveable and your video really helped 😊 I try to do something along the lines of 70s/eclectic style so if somewhen in the future a video remotely related to that comes to your mind I’d be even more grateful

I think it is a very danish thing to invest in the home. Not eating out, staying in and eating homemade food underneath your louis Poulsen classic you got for your 18th birthday. Drink your coffee next your Verner Parton from your graduation. Also if you work in a warehouse or shop you get emploee discount.
