Hey everyone! Welcome to my 30,000 subscriber special! This is something I've been wanting to make for a while and it's finally done! The commentary for this one is a tiny bit less analytical, and oftentimes it's just me trying to have fun. So sit back, relax, and hang out with me while we watch some of my favorite movie scenes together! Be sure to: -Watch on the highest quality settings because of KZbin’s video compression. -Listen with headphones if you can. (It’s just better 😂) -Turn on captions if you want to read my accompanying commentary. -Enjoy!

Love these videos! A personal recommendation from one of my favourites, Ratatouille. My favourite scene being when he is climbing out of the sewers to discover he is in Paris, but also when he is in the kitchen for the first time and trying to escape. Always felt that the score seemed to perfectly fit the visuals.

Finally, SOMEONE talks about the heroic motifs in JAWS! Also, if you’re ever looking for more iconic movie motifs that not enough people actually discuss from a composition standpoint? There are a metric ton of Kaiju films that have outstanding music, and never get discussed because they’re considered a “B Movie” genre (which, granted, while fair, shouldn’t dismiss their outstanding music). My immediate recommendations are literally any of the compositions for the Godzilla movies by Akira Ifukube (the Japanese John Williams), Masaru Sato (“the jazzy one” from the 60’s and 70’s), or Michiru Oshima (the female Japanese Hans Zimmer). Then there’s the score for the four major King Kong incarnations. The 1933 original score by Max Steiner, the 1976 score by John Barry (my personal favorite of them), the 2005 score by James Newton Howard, and the 2017 score from Kong: Skull Island by Henry Jackman. All are great in their own distinct ways.

One thing I wanted to note about 'No Time For Caution', specifically the use of the organ. Organs have this ethereal feeling to it, a sound easily associated with churches an in religious pieces. Space is in many ways a heaven, the use of the organ accentuates that, to make the sound of space.

Congratulations! I adore your commentary with your insight and jokes! I would highly recommend looking into more less well-known movies with not so well-known composers, like the recent few Guy Ritchie films (Sherlock Holmes, King Arthur, the man from U.N.C.L.E). I mean, he also worked with Hans Zimmer on Sherlock Holmes, which also shows Zimmers perfect work, as he was able to capture and match the outstading style of the director perfectly.

I love your videos sm!!!🔥 Edit: I got excited I forgot to add my thoughts lmao I used to watch Tron: The Legacy everyday 11 years ago (it's still one of my favorite films) and I still get amazed of that shot where they arrive at the Games Arena 😍 I find it funny that I only listened to the OST and remixes in 2014💀 I have fond memories of watching Pirates 1, 2, 3 with my parents so Up is Down is such a memorable track that I still recall it though I heard it a few times (I forget to listen to the OSTs because I'm an idiot) Clowns scare me in various media, whether in comics or movies, I can't stomach the thought of a clown murking people on the daily EXCEPT irl (wth is wrong wth me lol) Jurassic Park is another fantastic piece, John Williams is definitely a master at his craft. He's able to elicit a nostalgia I never realized I had, Yoda's usage of the Force reminds of my grandfather hahaha I haven't seen Jaws, I can't recall a lot about The Matrix because I couldn't comprehend it back then, hopefully my brain won't trip on itself the next time I watch. I can't remember Wall-E as well 💀💀💀💀 NOW! Personally, I believe that Interstellar is Hans Zimmer's best work. He's able to cover so many themes in this 160 minute work of art that I felt Gs he was pulling while docking or the pain of watching mere moments of his children's lives in a few hours, Nolan's vision was greatly enhanced by Zimmer's score (I wish they could work together again🥲) If aliens are real (like the One Piece) please, show them Interstellar 🙂

I love your work so much... All of these really are the best things to work together... As they help convey what they are telling like setting the mood of what's shown to give more depth of exactly what characters or what you feel but magnified by the soundtrack. As if you are with them feeling such emotion, reactions, interactions, and attentions/intensions. Basically you are getting more immersion from more than visual and relatability by simple making sounds that express even far more than what you see and can relate too... That's why the best award winning movies/shows or your favorite movies/shows go beyond simply making pictures move and knowing someone you know act out what you are going through or what you love about a certain genre that draws you in... Is even going further beyond simply even just watching... But actually being close of being there understanding all feelings or sensing everything. My god I could ramble on but for now I better stop cause it would never be the end of such amazing synergy.
