Mental illness does not discriminate. Whether you’re rich or poor, famous or unknown anyone can face mental struggles that cause them to make decisions in which they usually would not make when feeling stable. Most of these celebrities had no choice but to deal with these personal issues under the scrutinising eyes of the world. I’m so happy she’s doing much better and is making her much anticipated comeback in acting. Literal talented queen 💗

I mean Winona shoplifted from expensive high-end stores that use slave labor, child labor and animal abuse to create their products. They are the criminals! I don't care if you steal from these stores but stealing from regular stores is bad because the cost of stolen goods will be deducted from the workers' salaries who work at the store, those are struggling people who are severely exploited and underpaid. If you have to steal to feed your family or yourself, and you have no choice then once again it's okay by me. Gotta survive.

I think being a child star is what happened here. So much coming out into the light about other celebrities. It’s difficult to handle as a child all the roles and auditions ... the pressure and traumas along the way. There has to be more laws and put into place and more help available to child actors so they can learn to cope with the stress. In reality they are children with adult jobs and responsibilities which is really sad. It’s unfair that some of these children support their whole family sometimes.... it’s just a lot even for an adult Sometimes. I’m glad she was able to get better.

During 2020 I had so much built up stress and anxiety due to the pandemic that I suffered gastrointestinal pains all summer. It was horrible and sometimes not even medication would work. I felt like I had no control over my body. Criticizing her for going hiking after backing down from a film due to her health was very ignorant. Stressful situations will only make gastrointestinal issues worse. Removing herself from the film and trying to think of other things was the right thing to do for her health.

Agree that individual stories (exhaustion, mental stress, physical illness) over long periods of time do not define a person. However, they can be indicative of deeper issued rumbling underneath the surface. And I don't think all this 'yaaas queen' posturing is any help. She clearly has issues (she was way too young to be with Jonny Depp, and if I was to guess this started it all) but let's be realistic this video (and all the effing free Britney ones) only glorify the debacle of women's lives for the iconic-ness of it all. At least this guy is honest about it.

I remember my grandma laughing when this news came out. "A rich person stealing", she said. I didn't understand what was happening and never looked into it. It's just a shelved memory i had that movies reminded me it existed... I'm so glad she's doing better. And she's married to Keanu Reeves. How cool is that? 💞💕

Winona is very wealthy and could have purchased the store. The fact that she took items without paying for them just shows that she was troubled at this time and it's hard to tell how long. She talks honestly about it and doesn't attempt to explain herself -that's personal. However, she does speak about being vulnerable and people assuming it's crazy. I read where she was working so much, that she fainted from exhaustion.

I have no issues with Wynona at all. I definitely loved some of her older films. I think it’s very unfortunate that she received the backlash she did in the Diane Sawyer interview. I agree that life can often be way harder and stressful the more money and “importance” you have and yet everyone else thinks if you have problems your “spoiled”. It’s ridiculous. The feeling of having money, but perhaps you don’t deserve especially if you have depression. It’s overwhelming. I do wish Wynona would have owned up to why she shoplifted instead of blaming it on a producer. That’s a lie. It doesn’t help us to understand why a wealthy woman would do that. Maybe she thought she had financial issues, maybe she thought she was being screwed out of money and “taking it back”, maybe she was so bored in her life and she actually got super excited at home once she got all this “free” stuff. Who knows. But we all know shoplifting is wrong and unhealthy and we can’t help people with these problems unless she’s honest. I’d personally love to know why a multimillionaire would risk her entire career and image over $5k worth of stuff she definitely didn’t didn’t need.
