Him cancelling his date to link up with a co-worker was outright disrespectful. we all find other people attractive outside of our partners because it's normal it doesn't mean act on it, but what he did was sooooo out of line, so if you didn't get caught would you keep that behavior up?? what if the tables were turned? Shante was on point but she did go too far after he had learned his lesson, her ego definitely got the best of her. OAN Morrisss 😍 he is soo manly and fine

Not the Isley Brothers lmaoooooooooo I am in tears rn 😂😂 Shante had the right to be upset when Keith lied to her but she took it too far I don’t think he was being malicious but a conversation is all that needed to be had

Nah he was being malicious lmfao. Anthony Anderson’s character laid out his intentions perfectly.

Keith did was called “Emotional Cheating” which is the prelude to physical cheating

I love this presentation. You do a good job explaining the story. I do think Keith was at the beginning of stages of cheating. Whether emotional or just physical, canceling a date w/ ur significant other to entertain another women is a lot. Work dates typically happen in group settings. Him feeling guilty and ashamed is another red flag. I think the writers didn’t focus too much on this aspect on him, because they wanted the story to center around a couple having a back n forth and not being too toxic rather than being serious dysfunctional

An evaluation of the relationship timeline of Dwayne and Whitley from A different world would be amazing ❤

That was by far the most natural progression of a TV relationship and to this very day my favorite one followed up by Sinclair and Overton because they were so wholesome and never really had any toxic moments and I just loved how they were always each other's cheerleader. Then lastly Max and Kyle because they were fun to watch, even though I do not think they were the best for one another due to Max not willing to ever open up and making that Kyle's problem. Chemestry between Dwayne and Whitley was off the charts. They both elevated each other in different ways. Dwayne grounded Whitley and Whitley matured Dwayne. For example, Dwayne was the only man that would check her when she was out of line and clearly in the wrong. And Whitley made Dwayne see that if you think poor you'll remain that way and that it's okay to strive for luxury. I still smile when I see that one disney show have them both on screen together after all those years make a nod to A Different World and the two somehow knowing each other. Also I am happy that Lisa left the show just because the Denise and Dwayne ending up together was too cliché and it was way more realistic that you do not always get the girl and end up with the most unlikely person not even on your radar. Season 2-4 was peak.

This is one of my favorite movies!!!! Morris is one fine specimen lol. Yes!! Men are sometimes jealous of their friends relationships and want what they have and Tony was definitely living vicariously through Keith

If you have good friends and supportive family members. Please tell them whatever you want about your relationship. Sometimes you might be in horrible situations without even realizing it. Abuse is sometimes built over time and with little not so suspicious actions(words, controlling behavior, love bombing, etc). Please please keep friends you trust and believe have your best interests at heart ❤

Two can play that game is one of my favorite rom coms too! Shante Smith looked so fabulous! I must say Gabrielle union looked stunning, with the red outfit and long ponytail! Baddie! 😍 I must say, just like Waiting to Exhale there were beautiful black people in this movie 😍 You should do a video on the ladies in Waiting to Exhale.

Sashay Shanteee go go go get it get it lol this is definitely one of the few black rom coms that isn't toxic. I feel like down the line even though he and her got back together Shante and Keith would've always had issues surrounding Connie because of him bringing her as a date to that party to get Shante jealous, like how do things go back to normal after that because you've broken that professional boundary 🤔 I love how you touched on not sharing your relationship business because some people don't understand that not everyone is rooting for you whether man or woman

Thank you so much for doing an analysis of this film. It's one of my favorite rom coms from the 2000s, and the wardrobe, the actors, and the plot were all awesome. I agree with Shante not allowing her friends to know all her business and keeping your relationship matters behind closed doors. It shows she trusted her own judgment and was not easily swayed by others. However, if you feel there is trouble brewing in your relationship, work that out with your partner and a therapist if needed.

Honestly, if Keith wasn’t involving his clearly envious friend (this is why Shante didn’t tell her friends everything) they wouldn’t have had to go through all 10 steps.

The instrumentals are always going to giveee lol Butta Love and Make It Work.ugh I love someone who loves music. Yessss yes yes oh my goodness Tony really was using Keith as the magnet for women especially the women he was attracted to. Keith was handsome, fit extremely successful and respectful which drew women to him. kind of like the men who hang with celebrity men and only get access to certain women only because of that man they hang with. Hell, some men are bigger groupies than women 😂

Shante had some good rules, but I feel like it applied more to a man who gave you a reason to do all of those things, Keith although wrong for him taking a co-worker out for drinks, he wasn't a slime ball and Shante dated him for what seemed to be like a while to know the type of man she was dating, it would've been different if this was a constant occurrence ( and then she would've had to break up with him ) but this to be was his first time doing that... granted he needed to be taught a lesson but she also wanted a reaction from him and for him to be jealous when she hugged that man up in church lmao it was just so immature
