Ah, crap. You are of course absolutely right. Slip of the tongue on my part, thanks for the catch!

Yeah, that was painful. :). (db4 owner here). First good look I've had of one though. I hope they show the work they do. I've heard they're uniquely terrible, even by Bimota standards.

The build quality on the Tesi’s could be a little better. I’ve heard stories of parts falling off. Price for looking cool I guess I’d take the sps all day long

You've heard correctly, I've had a couple of parts fall off mine. Thankfully our shop manager Daniel is a wizard and was able to get me sorted. Also...we've safety wired all of the important stuff up front, haha.

wait, wait, did you say tesi 3d commuter?
@IconicMotorbikes13 күн бұрын
Indeed I did! Bought it from an Iconic client with zero miles on it to make it my new commuter. When it's not on a lift I'm usually riding it at least four times a week. I don't have a car and am always commuting on a motorcycle. Daniel's worked on many Bimotas and Vyrus' before, one of the things I had to make sure with him before I bought the bike was if the belts could be done without splitting the frame. I talk about that a bit in this video from two years ago comparing my bike to a Vyrus 985: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nmiyamaoas9qbpo Thanks for watching!

@@IconicMotorbikes Awesome, Im definitely in the "bikes are there to be ridden' camp. As with you I dont have a car, I commute on a later air-cooled Monster so Im getting maybe 50% of your experience! (thankfully I dont have to contend with LA traffic - Im in Oz)

Abi could u tell us about how the tesi 3d's handling feels like and show the flaws in its handling . And if possible could you show us the vyrus m2 honda cbr 600 engine with the Direct steering mount version . And would u be interested in making a video about alternative front end design motorcycles and what it feels like to ride with examples like ur tesi 3d , Britten v1000, motoinnos Ducati,elf 3 Honda.

Some short thoughts: - it's not as responsive as each input on the bars has to go through so many joints before it affects the front wheel. If you were parked in a straight line and someone asked you to get the front wheel at exactly 15 degrees off axis, I think it'd be harder to do that precisely on the Tesi vs a forked bike. I also get a little bit of oscillation above 100 mph on roads with imperfect surfaces. - a side effect of the design is that the turning radius is quite wide. I struggle to make a u-turn in a regular two lane road. Also, changing the front tire takes 2 hours. - it requires noticeably more effort on corner entry, but mid corner and corner exit there isn't much of a difference. - I don't feel a difference on the gas, but the front end is incredible on the brakes. There is no dive, and depending on how the front shock is tuned you can almost sense a little bit of a rise. It keeps the rider planted and the braking performance is strong enough that it's one of the best braking motorcycles I've ever ridden. We unfortuantely don't have that Vyrus any more as it sold a while back but here are some photos if it helps: iconicmotorbikes.smugmug.com/Vyrus-986-M2-AK Sadly, in that amazing list of bikes you've mentioned the only one I've ridden is the Tesi so I can't say I'd be qualified to talk about what they're like to ride! I appreciate the comment, though!

@IconicMotorbikes I am sure the vyrus m2 600 Honda would be better but Abi u have to try the Britten v1000 and the Motoinnos Ducati somehow. Barber Motorsports Park has one Britten v1000 in the US . I hope Jay Leno would help u connect with the Museum I don't know if it's even possible and I hope Jay would like to review one at his age. Ok about the oscillation on the bike is it because of the front and rear is a single swing arm type suspension , Are u facing the similar problem like an old 911 swing arm rear suspension type of oscillation problem . And do u think a sway bar or a hydraulic sway bar would improve it by connecting the front and rear suspension. Or should both front and rear have a double swingarm type suspension. Is there a point in using a telescopic (USD suspension without it's internals just the inner and outer tube with its bearing but hollow as steering link)front end to connect the front wheel axial to the steering without the internal parts to have a better front end feel. Yes it sounds stupid but just as a connecting link to the front and yes I do understand the front swing arm has an arc movement and USD suspension has a linear movement. But as a solution will it work. I always wondered why no one has taken the TT side car and converted it into a two motorcycle with its geometry and layout with motorcycle wheels and tyres. As a progression to the alligator motorcycle and the jade warrior. I apologise for the scrambled questions and random thoughts. I had to ask.

I've 3D printed all kinds of better parts for my bikes. Doesn't take long for the printer to pay for itself.

Sorry for a chain to do that sort of damage to a swingarm . Sorry you don't deserve a motorbike. Lack of maintenance. Loose chain. But DANIEL give him a pay rise
