No offense to Kaushal, I think she is gorgeous and very talented especially when it comes to doing her own eye makeup but I find it so disturbing to see so many of you griping about the makeup here. Granted that the makeup artist could have done a little bit more pinpoint concealing to the cheek area where she had some tiny bumps and done a better job with the contouring. It just goes to show how many of you actually love that Kim Kardashian contour/highlight technique. I might be the only person who gasps whenever I see Kaushal start to slap on tons of concealer under her eyes and contour shade around her face. She has such a natural beauty and amazing skin that she really doesn't have to do all that. This makeup artist may not be the best in the industry, but her philosophy is shared by the best in the industry - Val Garland, Francois Nars, Lisa Eldridge, Mary Greenwell, Pat Mcgrath, Charlotte Tilbury, just to name a few. They often talk about using makeup to enhance an individual's natural beauty. So you'll never see these people slap on tons of foundation and concealer and cream contour on the faces they're working on. Their preferred technique is always to build on thin layers and glorifying the natural skin, concealing only where it needs to be done so as to make the final look as natural as possible. By caking on foundation and concealer you're losing the natural texture of the skin. Flawless yes, but completely unnatural. That may translate well on Instagram but in real life, it would just look too heavy and cakey. If you watch any Pixiwoo or Lisa Eldridge videos you'd see that they don't employ that sort of technique and are not shy to voice their disapproval of it. Just like those Instagram brows. I know we all have our own preferences and definition of beauty and what is good makeup. Perhaps some of you guys will like that Kim K technique and think that that is the way to go. This is just my own humble opinion and I mean no disrespect to anyone.

I agree completely. I just kept going through the comments and everyone was saying it wasn't good and I was like, "what?!". It may not be the best but seriously, keeping it natural looking is how it's supposed to be.

+Sue Shaleh I agree also, and, as a makeup artist, I also know it actually would have been very difficult to do Kaushal's makeup as she was talking to camera the entire time. Also not to disrespect Kaushal, I love her so much, but she probably hasn't had to do another person's makeup before to understand how much that would have been hindering the process. I know it was the purpose of the video, but if anyone is saying that the contour wasn't perfect... well the conditions weren't perfect either.

Sally Townsend i think she has done other people's makeup. I've seen in a few of her vlogs that she's done her cousin's makeup, her mum's makeup. i do agree with other commenters here that the insta-glam makeup trend has become a bit too mainstream nowadays unfortunately. but each to their own.

you look gorgeous ! I think u do your makeup better (more flawless) than the L Oreal MUA. I thought it wasn't professional of her to use the brush from the gloss directly on your lips..unless it was a new gloss and she gave it to you after the makeup. .

You're gorgeous with and without makeup. I felt like the foundation wasn't full coverage enough to conceal everything. When you do your makeup its completely flawless but here you could see some of your freckles popping through. It might be because it was harder to do your makeup while filming it and you also were talking so maybe the makeup didn't turn out as good as when you do it.

Actually, I have noticed that not only on your case but also in mine I do like how makeup artists do my eyes, but i do not like AT ALL how they do my face. I feel like i do it way better and use better products idk. I just hate how they do my foundation and concealer.
