I'm glad you liked it. I was admittedly on the fence with the game because of how different it is from the original. Also it kinda looks like a WiiWare game in my opinion. Still looks like a good game, I just probably wouldn't have called it Gimmick! 2.

If you don’t mind explaining, what is the true ending route? I “beat” the game but have to go back and collect the items. Does this just unlock the real final boss or an additional level? I don’t mind the spoiler haha just want to know what I’m working toward

You just have to collect all of the stickers, then the door in the final level opens and it goes on a bit more.

Sensei iconoclast, did you see? Shredder's Revenge just got some new dlc. Mondo Gecko and Mona Lisa. I've even managed to do 6 red dip switch runs as them both without death.

I want to buy this via play asia because they have a physical version. However, it says language is only in Japanese, but subtitles are in English. How much voice acting is in this game?

I honestly don't remember any at all. It's probably only in the opening cutscene, and maybe ending.

Additionally I would be very, very surprised if you finished the game in 70 minutes for your first playthrough. I would say it’s more like 4 to 7 hours, depending on your whether you go for the true ending or not. :)

Going by 90s 2d platformer standards it's more than adequate and wayyyy longer than the original
